Hi all, Just posting this should any Chch KBers be interested.
This Poker run is a fund raiser to help out the parents of Brian Mairs to pay for his funeral. It is also a bike ride and event to be held in memory of Brian who died in July at the age of 41 from a heart attack.

Brian loved bikes of all kinds including HD, MG and the jappa's. His current bike is a GSXR1100 and previously to that was a Guzzi 1100i sport and a HD sportster.

Close friends of brians Tania and Chris have put this ride together on the 16th Oct so if you are keen to join in then click on the attachment below for more info or post/pm here.

.
Hope you get a good turnout for this ride Dangerous. Jeez, 41 and a heart attack. Makes you realise you have to live for today. Kind of ties in with Frosty's thread too.

Well it wasent a bad ride today, KBer's SuzyQ, Manuboy & 30UTD rocked up at my place on time, but as usuall I still hadent got my shit together but we were still at the 1st stop on time (see photos) were there were 50 entres.
The ride went from Belfast to sumner 2nd stop were the local cop just couldent resist poking his noise :brick: in and ordering the bikes of the foot path, 1 in total had to be a hog dident it pissing oil every were the rest of the bikes including mine were on the grass other side of the foot path not causing any kind a problems as parking was at a premium.

3rd stop was over the hill to Lyttelton were bikes fit in well in that dump and the pasing coppers waved instead of stiring :bleh: My poker hand was looking rather sad hopfully the next 2 stops I'll get a couple of kings.

4th stop after following the harbour to the end was the weatchief, 2 of hearts :eek5: wasent no good for me so had a drink then buggered of to the 4th stop after getting a txt from K14 wanting to meet up but he was lost somewere so we never did meet.

Little river a great ride over Gebbies pass and around lake elsmere were I came up on a XJR1300 on the mad mile he stomped on the juce and me being me had to have a go too, at 230k he suddnly stoped and I went sailing past, he later told me that was his top speed at the redline... I thought that disapointing out of a 1300. The barby was cranked up the :apint: was out and I through out my hand of cards as it was worthless :argh:

After a rest we buggered off as I pulled out of the pub I noticed guy with his camera out pointing at me and automaticaly I stood the bike up on the rear wheel  (why is it when ever ya try it to show of it never works that well, but when you do a axadental wheelie when no ones looking its the best ever) anyway thinking that we were bloody lucky not to of gotten wet so far..... what ya know around the 1st corner it started bucketing down but 45min and I was home anyway. Good ride guys.
