Picked up a set of purpose made glasses specifically for motorcylists. The "Riderz" are made by a company called "Ugly Fish". I chose the "ultimate" range with the three lenses that can be swapped. You can check out the range
HERE (http://www.uglyfisheyewear.com/products_list.php?category=Riderz) and be sure to view the animation (if you've got broadband). Don't know if they're available in NZ though!

I've seen these on ebay and wondered about whether they'd be good for sports too, let us know how they go when you've had a chance to try them out.

Had ugly for for a couple of years now (not like yours with the interchangable lenses though) for the price I paid (purchased from local bike shop)pretty bloody good really. Tried Wiley X but my fat face didn't fit them properly (thank goods as they're resonably pricey

I've got some that I've had for a while. don't want to put a dampener on your purchase, but.....I am disappointed with them. The connectors to the swivel piece break too easily and the swivel piece can break too. I had them replaced a couple of times and then moved on. Be very careful putting them on through your helmet.

Combination of a tinted visor and regular sunglasses has always been enough for me

Yeah! I like the amber lenses on overcast days, and the dark blue on sunny days. Gotta agree that the the connectors are weak, with the arms "falling off" on occasion. They'll do for now till i get something better.

Had a pair of clears (until I ran over them:doh:)and I found them good for summer as they let me ride through town with my visor fully open for some fresh air, I wear contacts and if I get too much of a draft coming in the helmet my eyes start to dry out, with the gaskets around the rim of the lenses I did'nt have to worry about that.:niceone:
Good out on the open road for the same reasons you can ride with visor open a bit and you dont have to worry about getting any insects in ya eyeball!!

Reading this thread has made me pleased I shelled out for Wiley X.

I don't wear them much but when I do I'm not aware of them.
As with any riding gear, it's preferable that you are unaware of it.
