Hmmmm... I wonder if they're going to run 3 bikes then? God knows the bike needs some work... more bikes... more time on track... more feedback... better results... maybe

I would imagine Edwards will disappear quietly back to WSB

That would be a shame IMO.

I would love to see Edwards and Hopper on the top of the podium at least once this year.

I think Edwards will go because he hasn't bin to happy lately but it's a shame but he doesnt push himself that hard only one podium I think this year. Yamaha are poring heaps into the Moto GP so they want results, mind you I think they should get rid of Michelin first.

Dude - have you seen Faster 2 ?

He is trying his damndest !!

He is unsure exactly what makes Rossi so fast (should that read Stoner now ?), but he says if he knew he would be doing it.

He admits he has found it hard after winning or at least being at the very top for years in MX, AMA, WSBK, only to find he is not as quick/competitive in MotoGP.

He goes on to say that Rossi is so relaxed as he goes about his business, meanwhile Edwards when going fast and on the ball, is working very hard.

I highly recommend everyone see Faster 2 - these guys are so down to earth, especially Hopper and Edwards, swearing and carrying on in the pits just like a lot of our grass roots racers.

Hopper in the pits after a very close call - " Fark that was close !!"

Yamaha have finally put an end to the worst-kept secret in Moto GP by confirming 250cc world champion Jorge Lorenzo will race for them next season.

The 20-year-old Spaniard has signed a two-year deal with the manufacturer that will see him have a works YZR-M1 at his disposal.

"Yamaha has been watching Jorge's career with interest for some time and we are delighted that he will be joining our MotoGP line-up from next season said Yamaha Managing Director Lin Jarvis.

We are sure that he will be a valuable asset for the future and we look forward to the commencement of his MotoGP career with Yamaha.

Yamaha have yet to decide how Lorenzo will slot into their rider line-up. One possibility is that he will replace Colin Edwards as team-mate to five-time world champion Valentino Rossi, who is already tied to the team until the end of next season.

But Rossi is believed to be opposed to this and so the more likely solution would see him on a full factory machine but in a separate one-bike squad with sponsorship from his personal backer Fortuna.

I thought Edwards was only contracted till the end of this season and at this stage it hasnt been renewed.
