Just been told that it'll be at least 12 weeks before my Micron CF cans arrive for the 'Storm.

Can any of you other VTRthou riders recommend any other good quality CF cans that I might be able to get sooner?

You-no-risten Meester NZ!

Carbon fiber mufflers on V-Twins do not last! Unless those Honda thingamijiggies don't quite pack the punch of a Suzuki twin :bash: :ar15: Honda

Well I have Scorpion on mine, they have a different sound to other brands more like a 2 into 1 sound. A guy just up the road a bit has Remus and they are hot sounding very deep but look a bit fugley with those huge badges on em.

And what do ya think of the clear indercators? wasent sure myself at first but I like em now.

I have Neptune’s on my TL and they have a nice deep rumple at idle and a nice bark when you are pushing them along and the build quality is brill. :niceone:

I had two bros on my last TL and I think that this Neptune set leaves them hand down for quality and sound. :niceone:

I have Scorpions on my 'storm and while better than stock (and CF 'cause WT is right) I reckon they're pretty darn LOUD. I like the Two Bros on the VTRs meself - Yoshis sound sweet too. If I was paying up front for 'em I reckon you'd have to consider Neptune just cause they're

Just checked out ya profile, how do the Neptunes sound on a V2 i've only heard them on a mates bussa at 270kph on the straight at Ruapuna :second: (well he wouldent do it so someone had to) It has a very deep sound but not loud at all, and ariving this week his wife is getting a 4-1 ovel twin out let for her 03 GSX750F, that should sound different.
The Neptune is about the same waight as the std can on the Bussa which suprised me the only thing I dident like about the pipe is the end caps point out a bit which dosent look right.

We've got Neptunes on three of our four bikes. Well worth considering, Mark's a good guy to deal with and I haven't yet heard of anyone who hasn't been happy with their Neptune mufflers. You can choose your finish (shiny black, shiny stainless or brushed stainless) and end pipe (ie single or double outlet)

Welcome to the KiwiBiker site Bazza - I think we've already met, no??

Re Neptunes: Mark designed a new baffling system for V-twins and my 1000 was the first one he tried it on - it sounds great. He now uses it for all V-twin mufflers. If either of you MarkNZ or Bazza want to have a look-see/listen, let me know. Same goes for anyone who wants to see what Neptunes are like.

Thanks folks, and yes Lynda we met at Wellington Motorcycles a few weeks back.

Will be keen to have a listen to the neptunes, but after I've saved a few dollars again :)
