My warrant is about to expire in the next four days and I would like you guys to suggest a run down on things I can look out for before I actually go to do the real thing.

As for the WOF I live in Auckland City, in the eastern suburbs and would like recommendations on a garage that do genuine warrants for motorcycle and doesn't fluff around trying to ripp you off. Pretty much a garage you go regularly and has never failed you. The ones that you can walk in and go "so and so is a good mate of mine and sent me here saying you guys do great service", and they pretty much treat you like a family member.

I am also going to look into ringing a few mates and KB members on here who are offering help.

Thanks.

Well I would say Colin from Papakura Motorcycles ... he is an awesome chap, easy to talk to, ask him anything and helpful as. Just he is so busy with work that it's almost, always impossible to book your bike in for him to work on at times!

Always done me right and he knows what to look for in a motorbike!

As the recipeint of many a WoF rejection, I would say that it is always worth checking the obvious...
Tyre wear
Lights and Indicators
Horn

If you have a centre stand and / or a cooperative friend you can check for play in the hub and steering bearings

Nothing worse than being failed for something you could / should have checked and fixed for yourself

Good luck

Why not just take it in and see what they say? If you fail on anything you can just take it away and sort it, then back for the tick in the box - if you do it within 30 days there should be no additional charge.

Vehicle Testing NZ - Best place ever!! You even get to do you own brake tests (at the Glenfield one anyway!)

Does somebody here happen to have a WOF list.

Thanks.

Vehicle testing at Manukau is great, no mucking around. The old guy that does the testing for bikes their is a biker and loves talking about them. At the end of the day it's best to know if theirs something wrong with your bike so it pays to get someone who knows what they're doing. Highly recomend Vehicle testing at Manukau.
