Hey all, I am due to get my full licence on the day of my birthday. The bike is in the shed waiting to be riden. My question to you all is, does 'onroad" Palmerston North process licences on a Saturday? I know AA isn't open so onroad is me only other option.
Would love to be able to get out there on my new bike on my birthday but the fact it is a saturday might hinder me a little.
So, does anyone know??
Cheers.

HI, sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but did you also sit your restricted in Palmy?
I will be able to get mine at the start of October (BRING IT ON!!!) and am just wondering what was done for yours :)

My restricted was just being followed around a circuit, I think it was for 40 mins I can't remember now...
I am in the army so tested by a testing officer in the army. I think for my full we are doing the helmet cam so will have to give comentry on the way of dangers and hazards I see....

When I did my full test, the guy took my plastic restricted licence away and gave me a temporary (paper) full.
Which in theory made me legal to go and test ride big bikes that day (Saturday). Although I thought giving the guys at the shop a paper licence to look at (dated that day) may have made them reluctant to lend me their bike for an hour or so.
So, I waited a week for the plastic one to turn up.
So, long story short, you will be able to ride immediately, assuming you pass of course.
Cheers,
Mully

I did all my test riding on my paper licence - first one about 10 mins after I passed the test. Nobody had any issues with it.
Of course, since my 250 was dead (sat the test on a rented SR250), I'd otherwise have been without a bike in the meantime, so I wasn't too keen to wait ...
