EDIT: Thanks all, I'm going to bodge a switch up today. This is what the original post was:
I've sold the old Yamaha SR250, but in the weekend i broke the brake lever and switch. Actually all i need to fix it is the tiny brake light switch and wires.
Does anyone have one I could buy? $50? It's worth it to me. Ta!

Shame you're in Wellington dude. We have Cycletreads up here that always seem to have the replacement parts that make some other bike shops say "Ooooooh that'll be 3 weeks ex-Japan mate"
You could have rode in, had it fitted and rode out within a half hour.
Best of luck getting your part.

If getting desperate Try Richard Smiths, I used a tamper switch on my old RZ brakelight.

Thanks. I can fix it with epoxy and a screw and just glue on a bodged-together after-market switch, but it won't look pretty. I have until Wednesday lunchtime to do it, so it should be ok.

Steam.Try removing the clutch override switch and fit it to the brake side.
Then just open circuit or closed circuit (cant remember which works) the clutch side

Is KB blessed with many geniuses, or is it normal to have brainy people giving good advice? SO SIMPLE, yet I never thought of it. Cheers Frosty!

I was looking for something else, and found this. May be of some assistance.
