Hey all,

Check out your local TV guides and see if you don't see the same I did today... the Wellington paper guide for the week suggests Prime will show the MotoGP from 9.30pm on Saturday night, but Sky doesn't look like it's going to show any WSB till replays on Monday. WTF!?! This is the deciding round of the Ducati Cup and we have to watch a replay?

What do your TV guides say?

Does anyone have the October Sky Guide yet?

Just checked the skywatch and the superbikes are on Sky Sport 3 (only on satellite) from 10:55 on sunday night. Sucks if you only have uhf.

And it is still possible for vermeulen to win the championship, so I think it should be called the Ducati + 1 Honda cup.

Prime TV Guide for Saturday (http://www.primetv.co.nz/whatson.asp?dayID=13&num=4) 9:30pm till 1:30am for the MotoGP

The "replay" on Sky Sport 1 on Monday at 11am is only the 2nd race ... no sign of the 1st race anywhere. :angry2:

Help!! Wellington KBers who get Sky Sport 3: any chance of taping the racing and either loaning the tape to one of us or someone having a "viewing evening" to see both races in full?

If I remember I will definitely tape it.

And just incase he forgets, I'll be sitting up all night watching it so I'll tape it for you.

If fact I've already booked Monday off work... does anyone want to come up and have a few ales and eat some shite takeaway food and kip over in my lounge for the night? All you need is a sleeping bag, a pillow and some grog and your in.

I could even pre-empt the WSB's with a selection of my racing DVD's and if you're really really lucky I'll let you see a video of me doing Oran Park at the Aussie Nationals last year... yea, it's not everyday you get an offer like that is it :killingme

does this happen after the buckets???.... time to be nice to teh mrs

Marknz
29th September 2004, 17:51
yea, it could be straight after the buckets... but given they will probably finish about 3pm, home by 4pm, that leaves you nearly 7 hours to fill before the live WSB race one. I can sit and watch racing DVD's and videos for that length of time, but can you!?!

Oh yea, better warn you now just incase it's :cold: and wet outside... it's a non-smoking house so you addicts might get a bit grumpy come the end of race two :baby:

Marknz: you shameless hussy - are you offering for me to spend the night with you???? Shall we tell Hamish???

Seriously, if you could tape it that would be wonderful. I'll be your friend for life. Happy to give you a tape - I've got some brand new 4-hours ones I bought specially for bike racing. I'll try to remember to email you today to sort out to get the tape to you.

CelticNo6: many thanks for the offer but seems it's sussed.

Woops. Just rethinking here.

Marknz: I was talking about taping the Superbikes from Sky Sport 3 - is that what you mean?

I get Prime, so can tape/watch the GP's myself, it's the Superbikes I'd like taped.

CelticNo6 - don't go!! I may yet need you if Marknz doesn't have Sport 3 and you do........!!

Just finished last night watching the Superbikes from last weekend at Imola. Poor Frankie!! And what an exciting time was had by some in Race 2. Vermuelen deserves to win the championship after what happened to him. Can that boy ride or what??

C'mon give Sky a break, its the NRL final on Sunday night, you think they are going to put Superbikes on before that?
Just grateful that they've found space for that, I was wondering how I was going to watch MotoGP and WSBK if they were both on Sunday, kinda suprised MotoGP is on Saturday, but cool.
I'm interested to see if Honda come to the party and give Ten Kate any help? How about a second for Karl Muggeridge to ride, hes wrapped the WSS title, be some wild card huh? Or what about the british GSE team, Rutter and Kiyonara? Laconi is going to be under some pressure racing at home, could well get to him, not like he hasnt made any mistakes this year is it?

hmmm, seems Sky are full of shit with MotoGP, if you watch Sky Sport 3 during the day, (and I have been as off work with a friggin flu) they have Eurosport news on, now Eurosport has live MotoGP coverage in ummm Europe (no, really?) Today they had a bit about Qatar, how the teams had arrived, they were out cruising around the track on scooters then had an interview with Valentino, "I thenk track eess very good, arr medium fast, now we must build gearbox to suit, arrr very good that we all see track together for first time, arr, ess possible I can win..." or something like that . Had coverage of last race as well.
Also sad news that Paris Daker rally star Richard Sacint was killed in the Pharoh rally yesterday :disapint:

Laconi is going to be under some pressure racing at home, could well get to him, not like he hasnt made any mistakes this year is it?

I'm with you gav... I reckon Regis will crack under the pressure and hopefully Toseland will have another of his off days. Honda supporter aside, I think Vernuelen and Ten Kate really deserve to win the championship having done it all on there own with no support from HRC. And to have had an oil line split like it did last week end and spit him off on the warm up lap was gut-wrenching. Bloody good on the Ducati dude, Borsoi I think?, that dinked him back to the grid though, although he won't be getting any Corse parts next season!

Ah, I'd wondered why Vermuelen fell. Yes, Bussei was a real sport eh. And didn't they penalise him for it? (either a stop/go or 10 seconds or something?)

I agree that Vermuelen deserves to win - he's ridden his heart out. Of course, Frankie was my first choice to win (y'know, Italian, cute, rides a Ducati....) but he's out of the picture now so I've switched camps to Vermuelen.
