Sky Digital signal used to go out all the time on me during bad rain when I was in Paparangi.
One of the reasons I am now with TelstraClear's Saturn Cable Sky telly.

Check that no newly grown branches or leaves are blocking your dish either.

Get out there and waterproof your dish with tinfoil. You'll never need to worry about reception in bad weather again.

What also happens with the Sky satellite dishes is that the receiver bit gets corroded with the weather and the o-ring seals get brittle and let the water in.
I had to have my receivers replaced twice.
Sky do this free of charge. I suggest you ring them and ask about it.

Would tinfoil not interfere with the signal?
