View Full Version : Experienced biker wanted to take me + bike somewhere I can practice

Hi all, the thread title says it all.

I have a Suzuki GN250, and my learner's licence. I also have about 10 minutes riding practice on it- down my short street, walking it back up the short slope.

I want to ride it, but I need somewhere big and safe to do so- somewhere without traffic- eg: a large carpark or something with no traffic.

I know I'm asking a lot, considering I am so new here, but if any experienced riders feel like helping me get my first proper ride out of the way, it would be very greatly appreciated. I'll even chuck in a box of beer for the effort!

I have no transport (other than the bike which I can't ride yet), so basically what I need is someone with a vehicle that can take it, or someone who can take me as a pillion passenger and drop me back home.

Yeah, it's a big ask. If you have a better suggestion, please let me know.

Thanks for reading, and hope to be out there on the road with you all soon!

Drop me a PM some time. I know a few places that are pretty free of traffic on weekends. I'm happy to come over and pillion you out and back, if it'd help.

Wow, thanks guys!

I hope one day I can do this for another new biker!
I'm in Newmarket, just around the corner from Dick Smiths.
I'll send a PM to a couple of ya, if you don't mind, send back your cell numbers- mine is broken and haven't found a suitable replacement yet.

Cheers!
