And the 650 has smooth square engine blocks while the 250 has cooling fins.

And thats a pretty cool delivery wagon:scooter: Wonder how well it would go up hills with all those gas bottles though. now it they were NOS......

I'll diss a 250... again, and what's more, it will be a direct attack on Hyosung: Hyosungs are ghey, and I really don't like them... they handle like shit...

...one question though... why does that GT250 have twin discs?

I hardly think saying that I live in Hamilton is a comeback... however, if you feel the need to blindly defend Hyosung, then by all means...

I'll admit, the Hyosungs ain't exactly the quickets things around. But, that's not what you buy or use a 250 for, is it. So that's pretty much irrelevant.

And you say the handling is shit? Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to blame the bike. Take a step back and check yourself - just a thought.

With some decent tyres, the bike handles well for what it is.

250's of course youre going to buy the quickest one...your only allowed a 250 on a learners, so you might as well get something decent...2 strokes are spiteful evil she devils though...thus i got the best 4 stroke...zxr 250 for t3h win

CHA CHING!!! ... all hail the skid!! .. LOL

On a side note ... I've raced my old man around manfield and killed him in the corners ... of course he was riding a V-Rod and he did blitz me in the straights... mu ha ha ha .. all he could say later on over a beer was that he kept seeing this yellow bumble bee in his mirrors and then all of a sudden it was in front of him ...

And yes ... he won ... of course ...

I'm 6'4", have owned a Kinetic GF170 (which sucked), a Kawasaki GPX250, a Suzuki RG150 and a Yamaha FZR400...

At the time that I rode a Hyosung GT250, I had my Kawasaki GPX250 and was looking to upgrade, but after test-riding Carver's Hyosung GT250, I decided to stay with the GPX250 cause the handling reminded me of an awkward version of a Kinetic GF170... another occasion I rode a Hyosung GT250, I had been using a Honda NXR125 for a day ride, and half-way through the day I used a GT250 for a while, and I still decided that they sucked...

So, maybe you enjoy a Hyosung, but my personal opinion says "Go with something that has 'been around' and has a good reputation..."

"Go with something that has 'been around' and has a good reputation..."

Hmmm ... that reminds me of the comments that jap bikes got when they first arrived in NZ.

Hyosung has a reputation, they have been making parts for Kawasaki for years, why else would Kawasaki import and back them??

16th September 2007, 23:04
I think the ultimate 250 road bike would be the power of the NSR with the reliability of the CBR and the styling of the honda RS250 GP bike, the last can be done with the TYGA body kit on an NSR but the reliability of the CBR would be good.

McJim
16th September 2007, 23:16
Properly looked after 2 strokes are reliable. they just need a little more tlc than 4 stroke bikes. Worth the effort though.

NSR-Dan
17th September 2007, 22:27
thats it then the NSR with the tyga kit is the ultimate 250cc only cause its the most reliable of the rest
