I'm sure they'll last ok... but nothing will last that long if you're pulling burnouts on them.

Still... it's only a honda, the tyres should outlast the bike ;)

I put them on a ZXR400 and I thought they were really, really good. Don't know about mileage as I sold the bike before I had to replace the tyres. I have heard that you'd get close to 10,000km out of them though which is bloody awesome for a sticky sports tyre.

burnouts on the old tyre....

be damned if ill ever do them on decent tyres anymore... quickly reduces their life...

got em put aside this morn, 120/60/17 and a 160/60/17. its running bt092 cross plys at the mo, and the rear is a 150 so should be interesting to see how much of an improvement they make.

What is wrong with the BT-090 or the GPRa10 thingies?

is it std a 160?
if not falling off the side of a 160 pilot sport or somthing when i first got the VFR was good fun.
"mego sideways yyyy???"
put a 150 on and it was sweet.

Can you get GPR10A in NZ yet? They are supposed to be the most recent sub 400 tyre & I want to try some on my project bike. Everything else is sized down bigger bike tyre.

The Bridgestone BT-090 is also a small bike tyre like the GPRa10 thingy.

The BT-090 came out about 2 years ago. So the GPRa10 is a slightly newer design, people swore/swear by the old GPR70. I happen to love the Dunlop 208SM's on my DR-Z, so I think next time around on the RVF I'll give the GPRa10's a shot.

Morcs, why are you messing with the tyre sizes?

Have to agree pilot powers gotta be the best value for money/grip/wear. My rears lasted me 6000ks already and looks like shell b good for another 2-4 depending on how I ride... :rockon:Got a new pilot power front from cycletread too today

I'd rate the Metzeler M3's as the best value for money for grip and wear.

The sidewalls of the powers fuck out about 2/3rd of the way through their life making them feel like a bucket of shit.

they have a softer tyre wall full stop. with the 2ct's they've apparently fixed that.

i hate pilot powers with a passion, bought a pair and sold 'em on not long after. your summary ' bucket of shite' is spot on.. they feel like marsh mellows in corners.

Yeah, I have them on my NC30 and I've been really impressed with them so far - only time they haven't stuck like the proverbial was when I levered the rear off the road with my foot

Done 2,000km on them so far and the front looks like it'll live for another 4000km at the most.

M3's are the best. And M1's are ok too.

Pilot powers are good as well. I just got a Pirelli Diablo Corsa. They seem awesome in the wet!

Hehe - nah more a combination of a lack of rear ride height and a system error in the rider's head.

Solution: upgrade the rear suspension, and upgrade the rider from muppet 1.97 to dunce 0.82

THESE TYRES ARE THE BEST!

Seriously. Got them fitted at treads on thursday, nana'd around all day, and on the ATNR too.

Yesterday, woke up, primo weather.

Heading west towards the twisties and just went nuts. They have so much lean, and just incredibly sticky - even on my 400 gassing it out of a corner at full lean and the front would lift ever so slightly... oh fuck!!!

Ive tried other tyres (but not all) and these things top the list, even in the wet this morning I had it right over, inspires the confidence ive been lacking for a few months, and im back to being 'fast' again.
