4mb at no extra cost, and I didn't even have to ask!

I don't even get any more that 15kb/s.

Give your extra internets to kb it needs it.

They were supposed to have upgraded us to 10mb (for free from 4mb) by now and haven't yet, slack buggers.

I forgot I was getting an upgrade. Must have happened today when I lost connection for about half an hour. It's nice having 10mbit again.

Is this supposed to happen to everyone, or just you? I'm stuck on my miserable 4mbit connection at the moment too (LOL) but I'd never heard of any free upgrades to 10mbit. That'll do some serious damage to my cap I reckon...

It's only if you are on the higher data cap. I am still on 4mbit as well.

Can't complain - I signed up with t/C on the slowest, lowest cap plan they had (2up/2down, 1 gig cap) and I'm now at 4up/4 down 5 gig cap for the same money.
Now if they could just do something about the crappy digital decoder doing spontaneous reboots - usually during the good bits but never during the ad breaks...

haha, that happens to you too? I thought it was just me until two people at work mentioned it also, so then I thought it was just the network in Kapiti...

Its slow and painful at time but I'ms till on Xtra's uncapped Go Large plan.
I still manage to do 60-80gb on it most months.. Which is megabucks of traffic with pretty much anyone else.

If I had an unthrottled 10mb/2mb connection I conservatively estimate I'd go through 500+gb a month..

did telecom ever sort out their traffic shaping or do you still get pwned on P2P?? (i ditched them as a result of that)

on Woosh now - 7.6Mb down / 128kb up , unlimited, NO shaping, $50

a full on month i do ~150GB but could easily do more - could prolly hit 7-800GB if really trying

WOW that's really impressive for Woosh, I could never get more than 512kb out of them.

Telstraclear gives me a connection of 6000kb/s down and 3000kb/s up, but that's prob cos I work in their building:shutup:
