I don't have the details only the information that has been described in TRIAL BY TRICKERY by Keith Hunter.

Page 29 THE SUSPECT.

Hunter states that Watson had no 'adult' criminal record and on this basis I would presumed he would have appeared in a Youth Court. The offences were Majuana related, theft of cars and bicycles. Burglary was one other offence but I dont know how many charges had been laid. I'm not going to make anything light hearted of this other than Watson as a youth did have a penchant for dishonesty.

The assault charge relates to Watson pulling a three inch knife and a marlin spike to dissuade two people from pinching his dingy. The dingy had been loaded onto a truck.

I think some of us can relate to this behavour if we saw our bikes about to dissapear.

This was Watson's only recorded offence since the age of eighteen.

Up until the time of his arrest he had been out of trouble for eight years.
