Well it is the 'KiwiBiker' get together. Can't see any harm a member bringing a non-member partner or regular riding buddy but it would be a shame if some KBers missed out on accommodation and the get-together because a heap of non-members became involved.
Personally speaking, it'll probably be our first KB overnighter so it would be nicer if all or most of the people there were people I'd already met online.

Good point Oakie  Speaking in terms of accommodation available.. I think it would depend on numbers of kiwibikers attending, as to whether "others" can be accommodated for.. or whether they would need to bring their tents! :girlfight:
What do others think about non kiwibikers coming????? :wait:

What do others think about non kiwibikers coming????? :wait:
Non member partners are in a slightly different position to that of a riding buddy
Preference should be aimed at KB members and partners before the likes of riding buddies, riding buddies have the choice of becoming KB members at their own discretion and if their mates are already KB members they've definitely known about KB for a while.

SOUTH ISLAND - STAGING POST DOO
: Kaikoura (approx 50ks North, over the Hundalee's & up the coast.. an awesome ride BTW!! ).. or Cheviot (approx 20ks south)
Jen
This wouldn't be that little place; That is a township near the junction of the Waiau and Leader rivers. Hurunui district on S.H. No 1. 14km north of Cheviot, 65km South West of Kaikoura. 132km north-east of Christchurch. Primary school . Farming district. Takes its name from the sheep run taken up there by pioneer, runholder and classical scholar, Edward James Lee who named his station after Parnassus, a mountain (2457m) revered by the ancient Greeks as the abode of Apollo and the Muses, near the ancient Greek city of Delphi.

Think there may be 1 or 2 of us floating around the site, though I do remember a long time ago one of the ChCh lads showing some interest in actually getting to know how to do it. So a poll/ curiousity check would be interesting to see. Could be a good way to drum up some interest in Salmon and maintaining the world class resource before the rivers get screwed beyond repair.

I'd be quite interested in having a dabble myself. Been wet fly fishing for trout out at Lake Brunner a fair bit, but never been salmon fishing before. Still, I find salmon rather tasty, so it'd be worth a crack!

I reckon we will be looking at 50-60 people easy, by the time Dec 7th rolls round.. :shit:
What do others think.. about the "original" crew from Otematata 06.. getting the beds first?????? :spudwhat: or just stick with "first in on the day, gets a bed"???? & the rest tent it... whether you are an "original Crew" or not...:wait:

Well we got asked more than once if we are going to this at the Birthday Party for KB.
Unfortunately SDU is working so can not make it, but is trying to get the Magpie weekend off.
For the rally and the main reason is we want to go down South to say good bye to a friend and help spread that friends ashes on the Sunday.
I will weather permitting do at least a day trip to the Staging Post on the Saturday.
You knows I may stay. (can I Boss?)
So I could hook up with any Southern bikes heading up or could go around the block and meet up with the West Coast route riders.
As this goes passed my old friends house. (sounds real good at this moment)
But it is going to be strange not to pop in for a chat.
