Maybe we should take the ATNR to the Dragon! They must have been working with the NZ police and found a link to the dragon through one of the many many threads regarding it's legendary curves...
Sucks to picked on when you are being law abiding, but with the publicity it gets on the internet and with the number of accidents starting to add up it was going to happen sooner or later. I wonder how many big-rigs got turned away while the cops were picking on bikes and cars?

Never heard of any law in any state that says you HAVE to wear shatter resistant eye wear.
That is a bullshit excuse for quota chasing cops. News flash, most shatter resistant eye wear does not state anywhere on them that they are shatter resistant. I'd be hard pressed to prove my work safety glasses are shatter resistant short of smacking them with my hammer and ruining them.

How bizarre -- it only had a 30mph speed limit (~50kph) anyway. Beautiful curves, but it'd get pretty boring if you stuck to the speed limit.

Why are you clutting up valuable space in R&R with a thread that is clearly motorbike related...?

A few years ago, the police in Daytona thought bikers were getting out of hand (really??!!), during Bike week, and were waiting in the parking lot at the Hooters across from the track, issuing tickets to guys who pulled in and flipped up their visors before they shut the bike off. 'No eye protection' read the ticket. It did put a stop (or slow down) to the burnouts for which the venue was famed. Bastards!
Why they picked on sportbikes on not hogs, I don't know - easier targets, probably.
'There'll be no fun in our neighborhood, sonny - it's unamerican'.
Cheers
