Last night I had a night in watching telly. Watched Police 10-7 closely followed by Motorway patrol. Am I getting cynical or something in my old age because it seems that NZ crims are just plain dumb? It was like a comedy show with the cops standing around with their tongues in their cheeks, aresting and ticketing absolute brainless twats who had absolutely no grasp on reality at all. On dumb bastard couldn't even lie properly! I mean a crim who can't lie..! If you are going to do house robbery, wouldn't you at least practice your lies first? Fark, what's NZ coming to? And the boy racer in the Subaru, Pffft.
No wonder we detect a hint of cynicism here amongst our KB cops.

I find it funny how we humans view society. We think of ourselves as "normal" and the majority of people if not all are "just like us" & it just seems unthinkable for these brain dead morons to do what they do. I sold investment property for about 6 years & every time you get to the point where the "penny drops" for them & they see how easy it can be they ALWAYS & I mean ALWAYS would go through this process............"well why doesn't everyone do it?" they ask. We know people are different & it takes all types but on the other hand still question it. Interesting stuff <_<

It's a scary insight is it not? When you wonder why values and principles are going down the toilet, that's why.

So tell me, how did these people get out of school so dumb and so illiterate? Is education so out of touch with real needs?

I only caught the tail end. Cop was giving the boy racer a ticket for doing 3 times the speed limit.

At one stage the cop claimed he had to do 174kph to catch him.

In a 50kph zone.

Shouldnt he also get a ticket for such excessive and dangerous speed. On his own self admission.

It all starts at home, the laxing of general values/ethics has seen a rise in darwin award entrants for sure.

Funny you should say that mate. I made the same comment to MM last night. I am really opposed to police chases. Was interesting to hear coms reading from the pursuit script, how fast are you going now, what is the indicated speed of the vehicle being pursued, and the cop driving not answering.....lol

I am certain that kind of speed is way outside of what they are allowed to do during a pursuit.

As far as the dickheads on both programmes........edited highlights maybe? If all crims were that thick the resolution rate would surely be much better?

Are you serious???

Can you imagine the fucking carnage that would take place if the police could not go more than 30km/hr over the limit in a pursuit.
Crime in NZ would absolutely sky rocket and everybody would be doing runners from the cops thinking that all they had to do was plant their foot down.

I find it also quite strange that whenever there is a reported crash where a police chase has been involved it is always reported that the chase was broken off 1 min before the crash. Why 1 min I do not know but this is the time limit usually reported in the media.

Following this logic, chases should never be called off as there is bound to be a serious crash as a result.

I try to watch both programmes every week, bloody funny most times. My fave was seeing some twat punch his own head through a fence while his mate was being restrained in the drive by some burly copper. It smacked of 'The Young Ones', with Viv running around screaming "Even mindless violence is boring today" while smacking himself on the head with a cricket bat.

Just brilliant, and the two shows have got to be NZ's best reality show lineup ever.
