I need NGK CR8HIX. These are generally worth about $30 each but I'm sure 2 for that price is not unreasonable. Anyone know of such a deal around?

Try Super Cheap Autos, even if they have to order it in, probably be at a better price. Worth a try.

You'd be lucky. I brought my own in (CR9EIX) for a third of the price, even with air freight and paying retail and the sales tax (not GST this end though). You'll hear all the hard luck stories from dealers (low volume, freight costs etc) but that's just excuses - they know when we need them we usually need them fast.

Go to Hope Hickman Auto Electrical in Pitt Street (I Think) as they are listed as the main importer of NGK plugs. I got CR9eix for the 12 from them for $18.00 each when anywhere else was well over $30.00 each

Cheers, I visited them, there's gonna be some arriving for me soon :D I will tell them to stock a couple more, this plug might suit some other bikes like mine which is a 2007 GPX250R the standard plug is CR8HSA and CR8HIX is the cross referencing iridium plug which also happens to cross reference to iuf24 denso iridium plug which is what i used in my scooter.

I get them for about $12.00 at Repco , BUT i have a trade account and thats why .
I refuse to pay retail for anything nowdays and thats why i open trade charge accounts from various outlets and then i get the stuff i need at really good rates.
Get a bunch of friends to arrange an account and share it to get the benifit.
If you are self employed then there is the GST benifit as well.
Cheers Paul.

What's a good online store that people have used for purchasing iridium spark plugs?

EBAY UK. You will get iridiums at your door for cheaper than you will buy standard plugs here.

How do you get them sent to N.Z? It only gave U.S as a choice....

I actually got a mate in the US to get them as he was sending me some other stuff too. Perhaps they won't freight internationally.

Nah looks like they only ship to US, Canada, and EU.

Flicked them an email asking just in case they would be willing to ship some plugs to NZ tho. Will let you know their response.

Thank you.

I haven't used them but these guys mention international shipping in their ORDERING INFORMATION (http://www.ngk.com/orderinginfo.asp) and the CR9HSAs are only $2.89 each (http://www.ngk.com/results_cross.asp?pid=CR8HSA&x=62&y=14)...

Cheers for that.

Went through the checkout process and looks like they ship to NZ.

Shipping is around USD$53-66 for 1-50 plugs.

Obviously I wouldn't be wanting anywhere near 50 so if anyone else wanted to grab some (doesn't have to be the same brand/type) and split the shipping, it could be a very cheap way at bringing them in.

Anyone else in need?

Then again... <a href="www.bits4bikes.co.nz/parts/kawasaki/706.aspx">Bits4Bikes</a> is selling them for $7.34 each so could just save the hassle and buy from them.

I've heard mention of a crowd in the States that will accept delivery of goods you've bought there and then consolidate to freight to NZ. Freight is the real killer on small quantities.
