Had a nasty shock this week when I received the account for a speedometer drive unit[mounted on the front wheel],for my Suzuki GN250.
I was hoping it would be about$60,expecting about$90,but nearly had a heart attack when I got the account for$160!!!!!!!!.Just glad I fitted it myself,or i would have to take out a mortgage.
On the bright side the GN is still going well[apart from the seized speedo drive],it has now done14650klm in 14 months, and i am still pleased with it,but am wondering if I should have bought another bike for spares!

Wreckers are your friend, you'll usually be able to find parts which are in ok condition at a wreckers and it shouldnt cost you an arm and a leg.

Quoted $150 at a local bike shop for a new cush drive for my Zeph, and could take 3 months to arrive.

Bought one on EBAY (brand new) for $60 incl. delivery. Arrived in 6 days from Canada.

I had got so used to going to the agent while the bike was under warrenty, that I never thought of the net or wreckers!.I learnt that lesson the hard way!
