Ok WOW went to my local suzuki dealer today and test rode a 250 bandit. Holy shit what fun makes my GN feel like a bicycle in comparison. Man I want this bike how am I gonna convince my wife IDEAS :shit:

Take home brochures of EXPENSIVE bikes for a week.

Then mention the bandit and how little it costs in comparison.

Bingo.

Do bandits go good on the motorway

I know a guy with a bandit, and he does fair bit of motorway commuting, and it's sweet as.

I had a bandit during my learners/restricted days and it was fine on the motorway... Definitely much more poke on the motorway than the GN!

My question though, is do you have your full license? If so why not take a slightly bigger step up? Or wait till you have your full before upgrading...

Never ridden a GN mate but my Bandit seems to keep up with the traffic out on the open roads.

I have ridden Bandit 400 and 1200. Beautiful bikes. It has the power for the open road. Nice seating position too.

Be sure to check out plenty of Bandit 250s if you are keen. The price on them seems to vary wildly anywhere up to $5500:gob:. It would want to be a pretty mint bike for $4800 esepcially as you have a huge range of bikes available to you when you get your full.

I got a minter for 1900, that was pretty tinny though.

I think the bandit is one of the best 250's available. It might be 10% slower then a cbr or zxr but more comfortable, more forgiving handling and they crash cheaply.

Agree on all except the last part. Westie's old man reversed into mine. Damage - $2k... of course i fixed it up for three hundy and kept the rest...
