Did a search & couldn't find a thread where this was mentioned... apologies though if it has.

Hayabusa 4sale on TradeMe that is a total scam & seller has said they would take $2,800 for it... see bidder mattbyates1's comments taking the piss.

I would love to organise a public flogging for these gits... I have been lucky to have had all good experiences on trade me but its just a matter of time before one of these idiots gets genuinely clever and starts screwing people [me] out of their hard earned cash...

I like these points:

It's got 10 unanswered questions
It's a blue bike in the pix, but described as silver
It has a "Salvage" (a US term) title, yet it's described as basically mint.

You'd have to be a retard or just very, very greedy to take this seriously.

II have been lucky to have had all good experiences on trade me Yeah, me too, EXCEPT for the stupid feedback thing.
What's it for? For giving people an idea of how a trader performs as a trader, right?
But if you're honest in your feedback (instead of saying "Excellent Trader! AAAAAAA++++++!!! Would give my right testicle to this person, and sacrifice my firstborn if they asked me to"), and note if they didn't perform, they get really septic and give you bad feedback as a punishment.
Example:
I bought my wife a leather suit. Before I bought it, I tried in vain to get them to tell me what size it was (they ignored the questions and email). So, I took a risk and bid on it anyway, as we needed the suit in a hurry. Then I emailed the seller, gave them my delivery details, and waited a couple of days for their bank A/C details. When I got these, I deposited the money immediately, emailed them to say the money was in the bank, and waited several more days for them to say, "We got the money"
Well, duh!
Then they asked me what my address was (I'd emailed them a week before with the details).
The suit turned up about 3 or 4 days later (10 days after the auction closed). They charged me $28 (IIRC; might have been $24) which I assumed was because it was overnight, sign on receipt, courier delivery. The courier ticket said $10.95!
So, by now, I was rather pissed off. But I waited a few days to cool off, and thought carefully about what I would post.
I'm basically an honest person, so I was honest in my feedback. I gave them a negative, because as a trader, they sucked. I said they were slow to communicate, overcharged me on freight, and didn't answer their email. (Plus they stuck me on their friend's email list, so I kept getting crap joke emails from them).
They got really shitty, and posted bad feedback about me. WHY?
What did I do wrong? I communicated promptly and clearly, paid them immediately, and did everything right. Apart from telling the truth.

Same thing happened to my son. He bought a disk drive on TradeMe, and it turned out to be much scruffier then he thought, as the picture was of a brand new drive (but not labelled as such). So he said as much in the feedback, and the seller basically blackmailed him into changing his feedback. Wanker.

I wonder if he's been reported as potentially dodgy. It's easy to do and TM do tend to check them out if enough people show they're suspicious.

I have posted them a complaint. I am sure others have as well. Why do they let these stupid scams run. It is not hard to monitor listing. Put some one on the job and pay em. This shit is just stupid....... :bash:

Why? :( What are they going to do? :weep: They do not have the time to chase and or recover real property let alone look for scammers.

Yeah, the info is copied off ebay as no doubt are the photos, but what if he posted it for say $17500 and i'll take $16000 for a buy now? With a decent write up, not so easy to spot a scam now is it, must be school holidays, bloody kids, wonder if he is in Murchison? why Murchison if you're not?
Yeah the feedback is flawed like that, I've got 100% positive feedback with over 50 feedbacks, but youre so right. Bought some stuff the other day, paid him straight away, he was local, we discussed delivery first he said he'd drop it out at work on Saturday, he never showed then he said he'd courier it free, sweet, 3 days later he emails me and says a work mate will drop it off in a couple of days. Ended up getting the stuff 6 days after paying for it , no biggy but he still hasnt posted my feedback but I've posted his, he seemed pretty good with 100% positive but tempted to change mine to a neutral.

We have purchased 3 motor bikes two cars and a shit load of other stuff from TM and been ripped once on a box of computer stuff. If the purchase is under $500.00 I call the seller voice and send a few Emails etc to try and check them but anything over $500.00 and I go and look and pick up. TM is a great place to trade. Saved from one thousand to four thousand on the big purchases like the cars and bikes. Spend time and a few $$$$ on the phone calls and it pays in the end.
