I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom, for me and you
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
I see skies of blue, and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces, of people going by
I see friends shaking hands, sayin' "how do you do?"
They're really sayin' "I love you"
I hear babies cryin', I watch them grow
They'll learn much more, than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself, what a wonderful world
Oh yeah

Looking out on Welly harbour the Arahura is just leaving and some dudes are cruising around in yachts - looks nice - sunny but cool. The workman are still finishing off the new Meridian office building.

Problem I have is we were moved to a nice harbour view office last July - looked at in Feb all sweet, by the time we move in they are building the new Meridian office opposite blocking our view to Oriental Bay. Then in March/April next year we are meant to be moving further up town - no view and blocks from the transport hub at the railway station - so it will be short lived. Hey I need another One Red Dog lunch while its still just over the road.

Eeek, Ive fallen over... oh... hang on, no... wait..... the rain is just horizontal... (Auckland CBD). Nevermind at least Im not outside with the broken brolly brigade.
I have a covered and enclosed (on two sides) balcony outside my window at work (with 6 1/2 panes of glass), which we use to gauge the severity of wind and rain.
I can inform you that todays weather in Dorkland is officially a 3 1/2 pane on the windowmeter. ...Now heres Bob with todays sport

Haven't got my camera at work and our office camera is out touring but here's a pic of my view taken in May - looks much like this today but the work on the buildings opposite has progressed further. Windows are too filthy to get a decent pic on the phone camera.

Wet and windy Waitakere ranges. My muddy boots and wet jacket. The old dog looking for a dry tree to piss against.
Just knocked off for the day, too wet to do anything constructive.

A couple of acres of bush, pungas, nikaus and oaks all gently rustling in the wind.
My bike, looking resentful in the carport (me feeling smug cause I work from home).
The cat, looking really pissed off cause she's outside, the car bonnet is cold and both the dogs are inside........
Occasionally the head of a small dog as it attempts to persuade me that 3.45 really is dinner time......
A large concrete driveway which I have to dig up this weekend instead of going on the Motu adventure ride, oh joy!
Rain, but thats good, cause the pool needs filling up and no way am I paying metrowater for that pleasure.
Right, back to work.......(fends off dogs)

I'm seeing a large asphalt carpark with half a dozen mid-90s cars in it. Out across the 50m horizon I see the Mount Maunganui Language School, which has a fat palm tree to remind me I'm only a block from the beach. If I opened the window, the smell of coffee and fresh baking could waft in from the cafe downstairs.
Ahh, what's better than day dreaming on a day like today?
