Anyone looking to head over for the next sprint event from taranaki or further south?

Would be kewl to meet up and ride over.

Question - are there any rules about what you have to wear? i.e. full leathers? or can you wear leather jacket and like dragon jeans?

Cheers.

As an expert observer there didn't appear to be rules. Some guys were wearing racing leathers, others normal road gear, others jackets & jeans and I saw 1 guy wearing sneakers (:eek5: ). I'm sure one of the organisers or participants could tell you more.

I don't think they were too worried as they had us sign a waiver before we rode.
You do need a full motorcycle licence thought.

I brought a pair of pants the Friday before the event, I'd been meaning too but this was the excuse I needed.

I sugest that proper motorcycle pants would be the go. The road surface is a meduim chip which a 200 k plus would shred dragon jeans and your skin should the worst happen . Ideally a zip together outfit would be the best way to go or a one piece suit. At the end of the day it's your skin.

I dont know bout you, but if im going to be going as fast as I can, I would want as much protection as I can get.
I should be there, And will have full leathers, gloves, boots, Helmet and even a back protector!
If I get really keen, I will wear my racing leathers.
See you all there! :cool2:
