Hey everyone

As some of you know I am having a bit of a S#$t time at the momment.
It all started about two months ago with my father being rushed to hospital after colapsing at home. It turned out hes got cancer (in the brain and lungs).

Since then my car commited suicide on my way to the last Mottott track day. So my race bike and trailer are still stuck down there. (quoted $6700, &^%$#%&@@)

Apparently Dads cancer is very aggressive and after surgery and a couple of weeks radiation, there is nothing more they can do for him and his time left is measured in weeks.
He is going home tommorow and I would like to spend as much time as I can with him (thus im not racing at Manfield this weekend).

Now for the hard part, Can some kind soul please either pick up my trailer etc on their way north, or lend/rent me a tow car or in some way retrieve them for me. Obviously I will fully compensate for gas etc.

Macktheknife had prieviously kindly offered his services for this, but with the things going on for him at the mo, I dont think its fair to get him to run around after me.

Im still not sure what Im going to do for a tow car long term as I wont be putting the Subaru back on the road in the very near future (we are not even sure we are going to bother fixing it yet), so if anyone has a pretty cheap (4k ish) car/ute/suv that will manage towing the race bikes and fit the family for weekends away and is looking to sell, drop me a line, I could be keen

Cheers everyone

Hey thanks very much for the offer Rona.
I actually have a work car, but its a tiny Hyundai 1600, so we can get around and about.
Just cant pick up the bike with it, bugger it all.
Dad is going home to warkworth tommorow and is now under the care of hospice.
Life really can be a bastard sometimes.

Sorry to hear about your father mate. My wife lost her father to brain cancer last year. It's not a nice thing to watch happen.

Wish I could help. Take care

Life is tough, enjoy your time at home with your Dad. Great to see bikers can help with both a car and help with your trailer. Bikers are nice people. Best of luck. Cheers

Wondered where you were on the weekend.......

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Not a nice time - I hope he's comfortable. You'll be glad that you missed these race meetings and track days to spend time with him, in the future. I lost my Dad almost 4 years ago. I got a phone call from my sister one day at work and he was gone. Fell asleep on the couch early afternoon and had a heart attack. He was in relatively good health so we had no warning, and no chance to say goodbye or talk about those things that we might have if we had the chance.... I'm glad for you that you're making the most of your time.
