am just wondering if anyone out there has an opinion on what tyres to put on my bandit!

at the moment i have dunlop sportmax D218N on the rear, i havent had any problems with it! if anything it has been a damn good tyre although i have only done 5300+ ks on it!? (good or bad?)

the front is also D218R and that has plenty of wear left so i dont really want to change it!

any suggestions or should i carry on with the sportmax?

here is a pic of the tyre that is on at the moment!

oh just throw another tire on the rear, and then change to your perfered tire once the front wears out.

that is what i was thinking, because i have been happy with the tyres that are on there. i just wanted to get some opinions/ideas.

Yep tried these tires..

Z6 - Good tire, different profile but makes the bike very stable once tipped in.

P Strada - Similar tire to Z6 but different profile. I would rate it 10% above the Z6

Pilot Road 2 - Just bought a set.... will know soon.

I agree with the Z6...no issues on my old GSXR1100. Great all round tyre.

I have got M3's on my K6 Bandit - just lerverly :ride:
Nice can too! - the boy at Mr Motorcycles put a nice "quiet" Micron on mine as part of the deal
The standard mufflers on the new Bandits are way too quiet IMHO

mr motorcycles oblidged me with the two brothers.certainly lets people know you're coming.got a nice burble on the over-run but could be just a smidge quieter for me.definitely not for shy types.

Good grief. Get those Dunlops off ASAP and get some proper sports touring tyres on.

Michelin Pilot Road 2
Avon Storm
Metzeler Roadtec Z6
Conti Road Attack

Would be my recommendations, in that order. There's bugger-all difference in terms of handling between the PR2s and the Storms.

Mate i couldnt wait to get those Dunlops off the R1 (standard tyres) I put my favorites on which are Michelin Pilot powers. But i agree with some of the coments above regarding the Michelin Pilot Road 2 or if you have a bit of spirt go the sport.

Your bike is looking good with that pipe. To much.

ok so im getting the feeling that peeps dont like dunlops!?

why?

well i know this one has been done to the death on here before (well sort of), mixing brands? as i said earlier, the front has plenty of tread on it so would it be ok to mix and match with say the pilot road 2? or replace both? or keep with the dunlops untill the front needs replacing too?

need an answer tomorow am please lol

why do you rate them so highly above others?

that is the question that never seems to get answered!
