Calling the knowledgable!! I am thinking of buying one of the above! I need a little advice. I am in th SI and it is in the NI, so I can test ride it. If a CHCH KBer had one and could give me a 'sit on'-I would be grateful.. But, your opinions and experiences please. I am about 5'7''-45yrs and want a nice sports bike that will be capable of a bit of touring without chiropractor input or wrist amputation needed! The sound advice is test ride, I know....but I cant in this instance...

Touring without a chiropractor bill? I wouldn't recomend one of these! Best bet is to go for a decent ride on one first. I get sore knees and wrists if I ride mine for a whole day (i don't mind though cos I love the bike in all other ways!!)

Mine's the C model (I think) - the one in the link is the older model - should be 2003-2004 and the C model should be 2005-2006 (correct me if I'm wrong)

Its a B model 2003-2004, it has the side pipe. C1 has the underseat pipe.

Not sure about touring on the B model but this is what I did on the C1 model earlier this year http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=46309&highlight=jandal+tour

This is good people. Yes it is that one on Trade me and it is the B model. When I sat on a 2007 600 in Norjos[ChCh] the ergos were to agressive. Perhaps the B is less so? Any B owners care to comment? Very impressed with ninjaboys efforts.
How was your body after each doy in the saddle?

mmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the bike i want after i do my time on the 250R.......

The Ninja 636R

never been on 1, but always been partial to the ninja and 0.6 litre seems to be the benchmark in 250 step-ups so this is it....

from what i've heard the 636 has a sportier seating position and will leave you sorer, sooner. though they are supposed to have alot more grunt than the newer model...

funny 1st question on there as the new and the old 6R's look nothing alike
i like the new headlights though, sleek and sporty!

heres a really good thread for the 600 lineup

Yes the latest 07 model is definitely more aggressive than the C1. The C1 had a softer seat and better road (vs track) handling characteristics.

My partner in crime , NhuanH, may be able to comment on the B model as he had one before his C1.

As for body after 500-700km per day in saddle, only stopping for fuel or to pee. I was pleasantly surprised that neither of us felt any pain at all. However did we sleep well each night. I planned the well timed stop at Hamner springs at the end to ensure we didn't suffer any.
