View Full Version : Anyone seen my bike? Stolen Auckland Uni (26 August)

Milky

Sad sad times were had today when I walked out of uni at 930 and noticed my bike wasn't where I thought I had parked it. Just to make sure I wasn't having a senior moment, I checked the other places I usually park it, but all to no avail.

Basically, if you see a tidy looking zxr400 stickered as in my avatar, the fucker riding it stole it. Run him/her (can't be discriminating in this day in age) into the ground and beat him/her to tiny bits of fecal matter.

Love and kisses,

Me :sunny:

That is gay balls man. And its not the first time ive heard of it round uni either!
Where abouts was it parked?
They probably thought it was the 250 so they could move the parts, or i guess look out for it in the F3 class of racing.

That sucks dude. Ill be looking out for ya.

Yeah i usually park under the quad, but didn't today as it didn't look like raining. As with yours alex, I can't believe someone didn't see anything/do anything in the middle of the day.

there are some other distinguishing features - home-welded link pipe with a neptune can, polished ally frame and swingarm. Rego starts with 78

Sorry to hear about that.

Might pay to go down and see campus security, they have some cameras around the place, depending on where it was taken from they might have caught something on tape?

good luck getting it back.

Sorry to hear about your zxr400. Can you post a picture of your bike? I will definitely keep an eye out. Not many in that full kawasaki green colour.

Am I imagining it or is this just the most recent in quite a line of thefts of motorbikes at Auckland Uni?

If it is, then maybe Campus Security need to be ebgaged in this and perhaps to set up a sting somehow.

Not the first time at Auckland uni... must be time the Northern KBers setup a sting operation. I'm happy to send some bolt cutters up as the Southern contribution. I'm not suggesting that they be used to remove digits, but I wouldn't say don't either.

I think a CBR250RR or similar with the engine gutted and replaced with a concentrated explosive, rig the bike with cameras and a transmitter wait for it to be nicked, watch the camera and wait for the most oppurtune time to press the "bang" button.

My avatar is the only pic I have of it unfortunately... there might well be one somewhere on KB if you want to spend ages trawling thru the website.

My bikes currently being painted fully green, but its the 1990 model with the twin headlights. Ill keep an eye out for your bike, If I see the prick riding it I'll cause some damage to the prick. Fucken sucks to have something stolen, I know, my car got nicked a year or so ago.

P'raps if you want people to look for it for you, you might make the effort yourself? Then re-post it. What size is the original of the avatar? Maybe you could repost it full size?

Well, for now do some investigation in your spare time and gather as much as evidence as possbile. Talk to some other KB's who has had their bike stolen and ask them what they did.

Witnesses, flyers, police, put a free ad in craccum (I know the ed personally so I can put in a word for ya) ,spread the word, and just general shit like that.

Shit happens to anyone , anytime, but I guess you're learnt from this experience and next time you're gonna get yourself some protective measures.

*that fucker who stole your bike needs a good hiding, for sure

C4.

Detonator.

All under the seat. When you find your bike stolen - dial the number. This reduces the number of bikes that will be stolen in the future.

Have learnt yeah - that getting worked up over this doesn't achieve much but rather makes me feel worse. I have little hope of getting it back, but anything is possible I guess.

Just so you know - i'm not advocating harming the person/s who took it. We live in a modern, relatively civilised society and police/law are here for a reason. They are pretty shit sometimes, but still there to do a job
