The Waioeka is the gorge between Opotiki and Matawai on the way to Gisborne.

One of the things that things that pissed me off is all these so called motorcyclists that rant about this ride and that ride (coro included), yet when it comes to a ride through through to Matawai only a couple of old dogs turn up. Bloody hell just cause it's "technical", and maybe a little scary means that the the blow holes put their skirt's on and rolls out the excuse book. You guys don't know what you are missing.
