Well my teeth are killing me - I haven't been to a dentist in about 10 years.
However I think its time go and get this pain sorted out.
Does anyone have someone to recommend that...
A. Is bloody brilliant
B. Doesn't charge horrendous prices for simply saying "Open up, and say Ahh:gob:"
C. Has really cool pictures to look at on the ceiling in Welly.

Cathrine Lloyd is a fabulous dentist. I think she fails on the other two criteria - being cheap and having interesting shit on the ceiling - but in terms of dentistry she's great.

I go to the Naenae dental centre ... its cheaper than town ... and they have tellys to watch. They are also emergency dentists ... 561 4152. I am having major work done there.

Colin Wong in Tawa 232 8925 is my recomendation. He focusses on minimal pain and avoids unnesasary fillings. He also uses those digital X-Rays so less radiation etc.

I can strongly recommend Mark deBerry at the Khandallah Dental Centre. 479 2294. A great dentist and very entertaining with it. Park at the door, and significantly cheaper than the rip-off artistes in the city, particularly those who stoop to employing and charging for dental "hygienists".

What do you need a dentist for mate. Your bitch Shayne tells me you take your teeth out before blowing him.

Yeah - what a con. My partner went to dentist who said he needed to see the "hygienist". Extra cost, had to make another appointment, and all she did was tell him how to brush his teeth properly. I seem to remember getting the same information from the "dental nurse" at school when I was a kid.
Or the dentist used to tell you!
When I went to the dentist I was told the same thing "you need to see the hygienist" but I never made the appointment.
I didn't need any fillings so I must be doing something right.

"Hygienists" is just another example of "careers" invented for the sake of it, in this case providing a channel for young women to meet and marry dentists.

Not the one in Moorfield road, J'ville! they charged me $150 for a filling. i got a big one done in Malaysia and they cleaned my teeth at the same time for about $30NZ. I would have got other bits done at the same time but I had to come back to Enzed.
I actually cracked my tooth in the US but the prices there scared me. In the UK i think the cost of a filling was around 300 pounds! I held off until i got to Malaysia and through my brother-in-law, secured an appointment with the local dentist.
