MDU and surfchick made a wee piece of motorcycle-video art and it's showing at the film archive in wellington from this thu. (moving image art is my real day-job) it's a video of a giant lanesplit of the northwestern filmed from both bikes (996 and rf900) there's a more detailed post the "meetings and events" - BUT we need da wellington KB crew to come to the opening on their bikes on thu night (30th aug) to add a bit of noise :)

because the video was filmed from the front of the 996 tds the back of the rf900 i spent the whole week taking out the rf's numberplate using after-effects ;)

the gallery is pumped to have a bike-video artwork so are totally into bikers turning up :)

if you are in town be rad to meet any of the wellington KB crew. drinks and light food are free -entry is free too

pm me if you want more details -there's a picture and address details in the meetings&events thread:

I am so SO there. The only problem is that I work close enough to make it quicker to just walk.

But that would spoil all the fun, wouldn't it? I take it parking on the pavement is de rigeur?

Edit: Time?

righty tv3's nightline will be covering this event -

We'd love the wellington biker crew to be on TV- and get ya bike on TV.

the art event runs from 5.30 till 6.30.
we'd love it well attended by riders, the art is one thing, but actually real bikers riding around and parking up is alot more noisy and shiny!! the cameras will be hungry for images of the bikes :)

if i can get an idea of who might be arriving on their ride - we might be able to do a group circle of the small block that the film archive is in and arrive together - if you read this post - can you pop your reply in the events & meetings thread so i can keep track.

if there are enough people that could arrive and be part of a pack that rides around the block -this could be coool

don't forget to post in the other thread :)
