I'm still a riding newbie, but I'm worried about my suspension and want to get it checked. From reading a few threads in here, it's seems there's a few cowboys in the suspension realm, so if anyone can recommend someone, I'd appreciate it.

With any luck, Robert Taylor will chip in here and point you in the right direction. Good on you for picking up on the cowboys, too. I've seen on KB certain people giving very uninformed advice, in fact you would be able to write a comprehensive list of their knowledge of the subject on the back of a postage stamp with a carpenter's pencil. One of the local guys will know who I'm talking about but there is a guy in town that works at a off-road bike shop who from all accounts knows his stuff.

i talked to a guy at Dirt Action Service (DAS) about rebuiding the shocks on a BMW i had at the time. He has a pretty well equipped workshop and an area in it dedicated to suspension work. He came across as a straight up sort of guy. If i wanted to do work on the suspension of either of my bikes i would be seeing him without reservation.

That is exactly why I entrust him as an Ohlins service agent

Often its like that if you want the job done properly ( as it damn well should be! ) A quick job all too often can be something less.
