I am taking my BHS test on saturday. the guy recommended using my own bike to take the test, but i just realised to do that i need to somehow get my bike to the testing place. how do i do that without a licence?! should i just use one of their bikes and pay the extra fee or take the risk and drive to the test?

My son found the Basic handling test in Palmerston North was much cheaper than Wellington, and they supplied the bike (scooter) no extra charge. Phone Phill Turnbull Motorcycles up there. They can give you details. Its held at the school behind them.

The cone weave is a rasict bitch of a test, if you can do that on your bike then use it, if not then use there bike, it'll be easier.

Where are you doing your test? I did mine with Stephens Driving School in lower hutt. They had nice little 100cc bikes. Much easier to control then my 250. I dont think I would have passed a cone weave on my bike back then.

Ask what bike they have and then decide what is going to be easier to handle.

BHS isnt like a restricted test. I kept entering and exiting the wrong cones but the tester was satisfied i could hold up the scooter just fine. If you're a lil guy or gal take ur own scooter as I noticed a dude trying to do the test on somthing his legs wouldn't reach the ground on
