Hey everyone,
I have been asked by the Problem Gambling Foundation to let as many Bikers know as possible about this function on Saturday, National Gamble Free Day.
Meeting point is the carpark behind Aotea Centre on Greys Ave in the City at 10am, the objective is to ride around the Sky City Casino and generally make a noise and draw attention to the cause of the P.G.F. They will have a show/thing to get the message across, but would really like a heap of bikes to show their support, and make some noise!

They do a lot of work with families of problem gamblers, raising awareness and providing assistance, support and counselling where needed. They also will be demolishing a Pokie machine for fun and ending the morning with a bit of a nosh up.

They would like to get about 100 or more bikes to show up and make a noise, get some TV coverage and generally make a point to help them in raising funds and awareness in the community.

Show your KB spirit and support a good cause, show up this Saturday at 10am, Greys Ave in the City.
<ALL BIKES WELCOME>

Problem gamblers? hmm... interesting idea.

Can I also suggest that we have protests outside pubs for alcoholics and protest brothels for nymphamanics.

Poor turnout guys, but those of us that attended enjoyed the parade, reasonable turn out of people on the street also, unfortunately all this revving and making noise plus no speed makes for very hot bike as Pumba and I found out :laugh:

When everyone started pulling off temp guage was hovering about 108 - 110. Personlly wouldnt like to see it much higher, my legs were getting bloddy hot:blink:

Anyways it was fun, not to often you can rev the shit out your bike sound your horn (go the Sebal:2thumbsup) in the central city without looking like a total knob:lol:

Mack send the best to the organisers of the ride, would have hung round as the did offer food and drinks but I decided rto go for a run down the north western to cool the bike down (for future reference ballons do not last long tied to the back of a SV at much above 100), got the end and thought that was fun, to make a long story short I have only just got home :banana: what a great ride.

Great minds huh, it didnt take long once up to some reasonable speed on the motorway to bring the temps down to normal, not only was the bike hot but I was starting to melt sitting on top of the bloody great heater:sweatdrop

I got back ok but forgot the pie (he wanted one too), so shot up the road to get one and ran out of gas (was already on reserve), was only a short walk to gas station.
Bike got quite hot (oil cooled) and clutch got a little jumpy and the fumes form the guys in front ... *smelly*

Wish I could of stuck round, seeing the smashing of the poker machine would of been fun and would of liked to finished a coffee lol, plus that young lady organizing was quite yummy.

Nice to meet you Blondie, and play musical notes lol

I hope we helped in some way, now back to work ...
