CB got Wild Hog DVD out for tonight.
If you ride a HD (or a metric cruiser even) and have been to the USA you would appreciate the movie - especially the cruisin' through the desert areas.
I had to laugh at the "Aunt 'B'" and 'Mayberry' comment from the Andy Griffiths \Show (with Ronnie Howard)- young ones would have NO idea.

Hmm, it ain't JUST about the Harleys - it's about the 'freedom' thing like in Easy Rider. (even if light-heartedly)
You either have it or you don't.
If I need to explain it's no good.

Pissed? pissed? I'll show you pissed!! Only on the Famous Grouse after raiding the cheap stuff at work..
But seriously, it stirred some instinct to 'get on the road' and tour over a vast distance.
And I've been to a lot of areas in the US that looked like scenes on the movie.
So what movies would YOU recommend to get the juices flowing? - motorbike-wise?

OK, I'll do so.
But I'm not closed minded on what constitutes a 'good' bike movie - there are too few to be 'picky'
Ever since Easy Rider movie I have used it as a 'barometer' of what is a good biker movie, Easy Rider is what got me motivated and got the juices flowing.
Ya have to have cruised through the Cromwell Gorge in 'days-gone-by' on an unbaffled Iron Head sporty to get the 'vibes'.
But I'm open minded.

Our son got it out the other night. I'd been wanting to see it and we enjoyed it! I'd class it as light-hearted entertainment! You couldn't take it seriously, but at my age it empahasised that we should be getting out and having a bit of fun! :third:
The Missus said later that she thought a SI trip might be a bit much at the moment, so I said we'll just have to do more shorter rides to build up to it! Funny, but she's been somewhat keener on riding lately...;)
Now I just gotta get some better health so I don't get to Friday night and collapse for the weekend! At the moment, I just have to see how I feel when I wake up in the morning to know whether I can go for a ride or not.
Got an MRI on Wed. They goin' see if there's anything between the ears, and my specialist wants me to have some more tests so gotta go to the Doc and organise that.

W.H... Bloody great entertainment, thats what it was, aint laughed so much in ages, it does bear a little resemblance to those times in the 60's but not a lot  it does however bring back a few memories of the road trips and wide open spaces. The strongest memories are the constant running repairs on the HD's and Trumpies.. spent more time on the side of the road making repairs.. its just great we now have reliable metric cruisers:laugh: :dodge:

Huh, I just watched that one on the plane this morning on the way back from LAX. A good light hearted laugh based around motorcycles, yup they do give us freedom as well. I have to go along with ol Scumdogs views here on the type of bike thing.

Bought it at The Warehouse. The additional bits on the making of the film is great! Those four, on the same set together, had a great time making the movie. Also, the director is a rider and jumped at the chance to be involved.

took the missus to see it the day after two week ride round the south isle. She was comparing some of the dumb shit we got up to while down there to the movie was quite funny. Got a big tick from me.
