Can anyone recommend after-market pipes for a Honda VTX 1300s. The factory pipes are definitley too quiet and haved a an over-designed feel to them.

Alternatively, can there be anything done to the existing ones short of replacing em?

There most likely would be a way to modify them. Depending on whats down them you might be able to pull out the plate and baffle and chop the baffle in have and put them back down.

Some bikes are designed to take theb baffles off easily with just a single screw.

Mine are custom pipes with modified harley baffles forcibly hammered in haha

Custom Chambers in East Tamaki does replacement pipes , I have one on my VTX 1800. Made a huge difference to the bike.

Gidday Trotsky,
I believe Vance & Hines do a system for the VTX

If you wish to stick with the original give Warren a call at Virgin Mufflers on 021 035-2218

Great workmanship, quick turn around & competitive pricing on re-cores & custom built exhaust systems

Cheers
