Stand back trade me.... motorbikeparts is in town. :niceone:

Yup, a new trading website has been launched...

What makes it different?
Its dedicated to Motorcycling goods - parts, bikes, gear etc...
Its 100% free to trade on it (so no listing fees and all that crap)
Plus! its the mastermind of a KB'er - Bren_chch

Check is out: www.motorbikeparts.co.nz

It has the usual stuff:
1. the ability to host as many auctions as you want.
2. the ability to host as many classified adverts as you like, for as long as you want.
3. User account profile system.
4. User rating system.
5. Bidding tool.
6. Direct communication with the seller via the 'ask a question' panel.
7. Add items to favourite folder.

Hopefully you guys are interested in this, and will help support Bren in his new venture, and list/buy using the site.

:scooter:

PS, thanks Bren for the link to KB on the homepage. :sunny:

Thanks Joni for the post on my new website, you pretty much covered it all!

I would like top think with the help of people on here and other communities in NZ we can make it a thriving website for all of us motorcyclists!

Because its new and traffic is low its probably better to make a classified listing instead of an auction, unless you know people that want the item you are selling, then they can bid off against each other! ;)

So whatever you have, please add to it, because the more items everyone lists the faster the website will grow!

Appreciate the help and feed back!

Brendan

PS: i've spoken to quasi and they will be adding all of the range they have which will go in the 'Riders gear' section!

Fuck I hate trade me. $99999 in success fee everytime something sells. Daylight robbery.

It is most unfortunate that they are the most popular site. There are other 'alternatives' around (www.sellmefree.co.nz) but hardly anyone visits. I suspect this site will suffer a similar fate.

It will all be down to how much publicity it can generate. Once the products are there people will come.

Well done Brendon, when you see just how many thousands of listings there are for Motorcycles and Accessories on TradeMe i am sure that once word gets out you will get a large and growing percentage of these on your site. I for one, will be using it.
Good Luck
