Somehow, all the time got shrunk in the wash (or summat). Before you know it (but of course, you didn't), it's SeptemberNumber4, and our secondy-fifth Weeding Anniverserarary. Luckily, we'd prepared in advance for this happystance, and celebrated it early, on account of the vifferbabe is so horrendously busy today any celebratory stuff is out of the question (apart from mebbe some personal shenanigans.

So, the other day we went here:

And here:

And to this place:

Also here:

And this one too:

We had a FANTASTIC time, but the time was even more shrunk in the West Oilund, so the 8 or so days was gone in a flash.
Luckily, we still have some fine Hunter Valley wines left to remind us of it.

Thanx for all the kind wishes! :2thumbsup

Yeah, we had a fantastic time, which I've got hundreds of photos of. We spent a couple of days in SeeedKneee (where the vifferbabe's sister lives), three nights in the Blue Mountains where we did lots of walking/driving around, and visited the Jenolan Caves, which are really awesome (in the real sense of the word), three days in the Hunter Valley (lots of wine tasting and sight-seeing), then made our way back down the tourist route down the coast to SeeeedKneeee for another night. It was all good, and apart from the first half day (drizzle), the weather was fantastic.

Geoff: Our present was the holiday, Karen's present was a flawless half-carat diamond which was amalgamated with her old engagement ring and its puny diamonds. My present? Don't really need anything. I've got Karen, a VFR, and some great memories.
Next celebration: February 28th 2008, and 30 years together. :2thumbsup A trip to Urp or Canadia next year.
Just because.

You are a total gentleman and if you get a mate to point your post out to Karen asap, I'd say your chances of getting laid in the very near future have just improved immeasurably

... is she single and good looking?

Bad Lias.

Stop that nonsense right now, before it's too late.

Clear your mind.

There are cheaper and less painful options (http://www.newzealandgirls.co.nz/).

I'm not old yet.

Well... not toldlessly old anyway. I got married when I was still at uni.
But seeing as it's disgusting (and because a gentleman never tells), I won't tell you about the more than a few 'romantic liasons' on our vacation. But the room at Wentworth Falls Retreat was GORGEOUS and LUXURIOUS and looked like this:
http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/%7Ecam4/WFR1.jpg
We didn't get to use the two (2!) patios (one at each end of the apartment) we had.

http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/%7Ecam4/WFR3.jpg

http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/%7Ecam4/WFR4.jpg
(Except we had 12 jasmine-scented tea-light candles, and the blind was shut)

http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/%7Ecam4/WFR5.jpg
(Except we drank the Veuve Clicquot in the bath)

Here's summat that really made the vifferbabe's day. I never actually asked her to marry me; it was more a case of her saying "I think we should get married" and me finally realising that that's what I wanted and I couldn't stand the thought of not being with her. So, when I got the ring from the jeweller, I did the old corny "down on one knee" thing, and asked her if she would spend the next 75 years with me.

Luckily, she agreed.

She is indeed. She also has a Master's in psychology, a very sharp tongue and is more than a match for most males. She scares her father:oi-grr:

Daughters are supposed to scare fathers.. I'm sure its a genetic thing

Well... not toldlessly old anyway.

Thats all right then.. as long as wrinkels are not invovled its all fine and dandy *grin*

Or I could just ask Mrs Lias nicely.. :eek5: It would definitly be painful if I was really trying to hook up with Blackbirds daughter, and he wouldnt be the one I'd be scared of :2guns::2guns:

PS: In all this p/t ing I clean forgat to say congrats vifferman .. so err congrats!

Thanx.
Yeah, there's a bit left. We bought only 11 bottles (weight limits), mostly 'special' wines like muscat, white port, etc. Only two have gone so far. We figured most of the wines were probably available here.

Last night we opened a Jewelstone Chardonnay we've been 'saving for a special occasion' since we bought it on a trip to Hawkes Bay a couple of years back. Unfortunately, we were tired and drinking it made us even more tired, so it was a bit wasted.
