Anyone (in Auckland) able to go to see that bike for me and tell me what they think? It looks interesting, and certainly if it's ridable it'd hope it's by far better then a Pitbull Spyder chopper.

Cheap chopper for the fun of it :woohoo:

Id be up for any cheap chopper :D I don't need hardcore bling like most choppers. Just nice lines, no rust, and some paint.

Are you sure you want a Rigid Frame (Hardtail) Chopper? If you do make sure you've got plenty of padding on your Bum and something to project the family jewels!!

As JimJim said be careful with the Chinese stuff it really is crap. Like most things in life - you get what you pay for!

Am I the only one who sees a problem with being able to take your hands off the handle bars at 170 kmh on a Chinese 250cc chopper:dodge:

Perhaps it's a typo and should read 17 kmh!!! - But hey, at 5k ish it's probably not to bad.
Heard a few horror stories about the Chinese stuff though. We will stick to the tried and proven Yankee Steel! As I said before - you get what you pay for.

Right, I don't think 'in da mornin' is what chopper enthusiast want to know when they are asking about stretch.

Good on the guy for building a truly affordable custom chopper but I think he may want to get his specs and facts right about it first.

And yet nobodies offered to go have a nosey at it to get some one on one in person facts. I'd do it.. but it's in Auckland. All I I've tried in cheap choppers is the pitbull spyder and I was so unimpressed with just sitting on it I didn't take it out on the road. Although the store would only have let me go around the block once anyway.

Don't know about you dude but I don't think there are many people wanting to risk their life on that thing unless they were interested in buying it.
Production bikes are one thing, but this looks home built (and more than likely is) by someone with no previous history in bike building.
Even American bike builders have to start building their name somewhere, usually working for someone that is already in the business.

Just curious why the seller has chosen to get the Bike Certifed, WOF etc after he has made the sale??? Any Good Custom Bike Builder (like us - not bragging!) will make sure a Bike is fully sorted, Certified etc before taking it to the market. I would be asking the question before I placed a bid!!

Open pipes? Dodgy looking welds on the down tubes? Skull with pointy horns over the headlight? Yup, here's your cert. And a WoF. And the missing Zubruder film and a map to Jimmy Hoffa's grave.

Must be real slow what with no chain an' all - and the throttle looks like it is designed for people with REAL small hands too....

But I like the style and general principle.

A lot of whinging and no action!

I'm not whinging, just pointing out that over five grand is a lot to pay for something which won't be legal on the road. It would take a braver man than me to ride this thing hands-free at top speed. I particularly like the number plate in its vertical orientation - it just says "nick me", as if the open pipes didn't get the police to notice you...

I don't think it's worth throwing out the idea of a bike like this. While some of the aspects are eyebrow raising, it could still be a very fun ride. It's not fair to say not to buy it when you haven't seen it. I had asked if someone could actually go look at it in person.

And I've ridden for the last 6 months with open pipes on the bike I already have so thats besides the point. :Punk:

Not all choppers have to be costing enough to put on the mortgage, shine like a mirror, and most likely (As I've find with quite few cruiser riders) the bikes just sit in the garage under a cover for a large part of the year.

Cheap chopper that you can commute on and ride with the chopper-o-so-good style? Yes please
