[Big Dog]

In trying out to explain riding to someone else today I came up with this poem about my first ride after a month off,

My helmet doesnt sit square.
It's be so long that I no longer care.
My strap whips my skin red and raw.
It's so cold, will I ever thaw?
Here we go.
Nice and slow.
Hold on just a tip a little further.
Get on, get over, accalerator.
Back ends slipping!
Back side is gripping!
There goes the hook up!
Crack it wide and look up.
Mind is racing!
The heart is pacing!
It's not cold anymore.
In my future I see rides galore.
Any doubts swept clean as by a broom,
I love the feeling called zoom!

Maybe we should start a poet's corner and award prizes for different categories -- e.g. haiku, limerick and sonnet... (Any excuse to take the iambic pentameters out for a trot)
