WHat are CBR250RR's worth these days? its a 1994 done about 30k.
I will post some pics when I get home. I am going to sit my restricted just because its loooong overdue. Then Im probably gonna flick the bike and get a 600, the 250 just doesnt have enough power anymore.

you can actually get quite a good whack for them in the 250 market... $5k+ is my guess (depending on condition etc)

You'll get 5K if it's an RR but not an R
Edit - my mistake I see in your profile it is an RR, I misread

Between $4500 to $5000 for your bike. Dealers sell them between $5500 to $7000 (crazy prices).
Single R CBR 250's (MC19) have one front disc brake while the RR's have 2 on the front (also known as MC22). You can check on the frame number if it is MC 19 or 22
The RR's looks sportier and have a bolt on exhaust pipe compared to the all welded together single R model. I think the RR's have 5 spoke wheels and R's have 3 spoke. Both models have the same engine. The RR's also have a side-stand indicator.
Cannot remember anything else since it was a long time when I owned a CBR250.

Walk into Red Baron and see what they are currently asking for a 4 cylinder 250 pocket rocket.
You may get a good laugh if nothing else.

definantly a RR then, has 2 discs on the front, side stand light and more than 3 spokes (if it had 3 I would got new ones anyways)

why is that?

Last time I looked they were trying to flick a 17 year old ZXR250C for about $8,500. Only $3,000 more than it 's actually worth.
You could ask them to sell it for you for a fee though - they seem to get the wealthy gullible people through their doors regularly.

Oh yes there was one with the orange paint work. Rediculous prices just keep your 250 till it is time for a 600. They cost cheaper or the same than a 15 year old 250.

I got mine from a dealer for about 6k + $500 for touring jacket, pants, gloves, helmut and boots bike was a little ruffer than it is now. Mate backed into it and knocked it over so insurance did a clean up on the fenders mirror lights etc on the left side plus got a crack fixed up so it looks mint again, almost like new, just need to get a new right mirror and we are cooking with gas :)
Got it about a year - year and a half ago and from what I could see that was a resonable price for it. I will hold on to it till I get my restricted then flick it and look for a 600.
Mechanic at the shop said my bikes worth around the 6k mark still, thats why I asked in here

Well when it is time to try to sell it at $6k it has low mileage and it is one of the last of the CBR250 made in Japan though they were still producing these in Australia till 1999.

It's unfortunate that it's not a pre 92 (or 91) bike. I believe that a premium is paid on the 45Hp bikes as opposed to the newer 40Hp ones.
2 of my mates bought 90 cbr250rr for $6k (35K's on the clock) and $6.8K (9K's on the clock) which I believe is more expensive than newer ones with similiar k's.
