Harley-Davidson is reducing production to around 87,000 bikes, down from a previous estimate of 91/95,000 over fears regarding US consumer spending.
They expect shipments to fall below previous forecasts for late 2007 and 2008. They have also withdrawn their 2009 forecast.
The company said it was dealing with "a difficult time for the US consumer."
