Factoring in previous loss of licence, you're looking at 6-9 months minimum.

3 MONTHS, if it's for going over 100 points. But it will take a while for them to do their paperwork. Took them 3.5 months after my last ticket to pay me a visit. Then the sweetest old lady will turn up in a little council car and ask you for your license.

Give it up or they may send some bitter young men in a cop car to collect it next time (or so they tell me), I gave it to the old lady.

I hope you thought it through before pleading guilty to being 56 over the limit, why you would do that is beyond me.....

As for driving/ riding with no license, well if caught, noooo goooood.... although I am not telling you to drive/ride during rush hour only, sticking to crowded main roads only to get to work while driving/ riding carefully as there are never checkpoints in this time; which is the only time you will get pulled/checked....then if you are suffering from dangerous withdrawal symptoms you better not sneak off into the night on night rides out into the country, these night rides are addictive, even when you get your license. High speed riding at night is baaaaaad, so don't do it.... ok Morcs ;)

Keep it for the track next time you idiot, being without a license for bikers like us is kinda like being under house arrest, you will see what I mean when you don't have your plastic.

Oh, and can I get some red rep anyway please??

Really? He is losing his license through an excessive accumulation of points - I thought that was 3 months.

That was a good response.. :D

I lost my license for 6 months just last year, and did it again for 28 days this year...

I admit to NOT riding whilst disqualified, the hightened amount of paranoia is enough to make one go loopy. :D

Im just going to bend over, lube myself up, and let them aim for penetration.

given that you've lost it before, you could be looking at 3 months for the 56k over charge easy, and wouldn't surprise me if they gave you an extra 3 months just for the fun of it.

BTW, just bending over and taking it is the reason there are so many bent coppers in this country.

You should only get 35 demerits from your latest bit of riding as they usually only take the offence with the greatest amount of demerit points for one incident.

You might be lucky and end up with a total of 85 demerit points. That would be your best case scenario.

Then you will have to ride without sneezing to avoid getting another 15...

Pulled a nice 2 up wheelie from the lights too... bad behaviour really...

Was speeding, 74kph in a 50. $170 fine and 35 demerits.
Had a pillion, $400 fine and 25 demerits
Was riding a 400cc, $400 and 25 demerits (which I got let off)

On top of this I recently put a guilty plead in for being 56kph over the limit on the ATNR, so looking at least $650 and no more than 50 demerits.

I lost my license for 6 months just last year, and did it again for 28 days this year...

You have my sympathy. Have some green rep. but take some time out to ponder the wisdom of attracting attention to yourself at a time when your licence is a tad fragile.
I did a whole year on 90 points and the system works - I was a saint (most of the time) but shitting myself every minute, trying to keep an eye on the speedo every 0.666 seconds aint easy.

Like someone said, all these disqualifications are going to bite you in the bum later on.

I hope Bykey Cop is right that they don't triple dip and slam concurrent points on to you from a single incident.
Bad news is though, if you received the 100 point grand slam total all within a 12 month period then you get 6 months disqualification - that's sort of a reverse bonus prize for contributing to the Govt coffers so eagerly.

KBer is becoming like a confessional these days. Go say three Hail Mary's and all will be forgiven. And buy lotto tonight in case your luck changes.

Bugger.

Just went over to pick my Gf up from the shore last night, hardly ridden all week so was going a bit faster through those nice roads heading into glenfield... Pulled a nice 2 up wheelie from the lights too... bad behaviour really...

Cop pulls behind me at the lights with Discos flashing, I pull over and act normal and calm...

Cop was obviously a noob, she took my license and was sat in the car for ages, obviously having to look up my license conditions to see what she could rape me for...

So pretty sure ill be over 100 demerits, just wondering how long the license loss is? is it 28 days or 6 months?

All up im rather pissed off, I know the law is the law blah blah but none of these incidents was dangerous at all in each circumstances...

Anyone flaming me when I know whats wrong will get red rep... really not in the mood..

Quite strange to sit back and watch those that think they are better than someone else throw stones. I read Morcs posts and I read it as a vent and an admission of guilt. At least he didnt say the cops were out to get him and needed to fill their quota ect, ect. He took responsibility for his actions and admitted fault. Deserves alot more respect in my book that folk who point and critisis.

I would like to meet 1 person on this site who has sat on a sprotsbike and thought, "Slow and careful, I don't like wheelies, they are irresponsible, blah blah" or "Its a sprotsbike, better go slow, its not made for speed" and then acted that way for the entire duration they owned it. Speeding is a crime too. Sure, as you get older, you get wiser, but how about offering wisdom instead of throwing shit? He did a stupid thing (admittedly with a pillion) and didnt moan about the consequences and that makes him a bigger person than any other poster of ,"The cops got me" threads.

Read your individual quotes below and see how much you all sound like pretensious wankers (Mods, I am not calling them that, just insinuating ;))

Thankyou Sniper,

The point that most of us who are shaking our heads is making is that this young man, who doesn't feel that his actions were dangerous, is making a public comment that he will continue to act in the same way, even if he knows he's done wrong.

I have the motto: It aint fun, unless its illegal. I was just having too much fun thats all...

I don't really see anything in writing here that convinces me his atitude will or has changed, but he is enjoying the limelight. I felt I had to post as this reputation thing on the website seemed to scare some from saying what they felt.

I am quite happy being a prententious wanker if it helps a young guy take a look at his ways and live that little bit longer. I would like others to do the same for my sons in the same situation.

I can understand that, and I see exactly where you are coming from now that you mentioned it. Maybe you could have made the above comment in your first post to avoid making it sound like a finger pointing post. Just an observation, not tell you what to say or how to act, each to their own IMO. But the last thing I would want one day when feeling pissed off is having someone I previously pissed on to turn round and go, "Haha, you deserve it" rather than realise you were only trying to help. IMO posting a thread like this, and threatening to red rep anyone who disagrees you, is out of order. It deserved some of the "bring it on" flaming.

Personally, I think that Morcs' biggest problem is his belief that he has done nothing wrong or dangerous. At least some of the other site clowns will admit to being dickheads on the road, which puts them higher in my esteem.

Totally agree mate. Yet another @#$cktard that is to arrogant to believe that the (very high compared to almost all other 1st world countries for learners) 250 limit doesn't apply to them. There's also a reason why learner's can't legally carry passengers...they tend to show off, do stupid things like wheelies and end up injuring or killing them. $650 and a wee ban is a @#$ckin joke. Strange, I don't see this as a, "Boohoo mummy" thread. Its a, "I screwed up and I would just like to vent"

The guy posts this thread and gives out reds for the slightest (constructive) criticism ...so he doesn't want to discuss it.

He doesn't give any real sign of having learned from all this ...so I don't believe the "I screwed up" bit.

I'd hope he didn't post this to say "look how cool I am".

So the "vent" option is all that's left ...and to me that's "Boohoo mummy".

It's a public forum. We all have opinions. He can vent, but we can't? He can cry to his Mum if all he wants is a hug.

Mind you, your shit smells like roses?

No, my shit doesn't smell of roses; as evidenced by my post in the "when did you first do the ton" thread. Even today I don't buy into the 100 km/hr is safe but 101 km/hr makes you the devil mentality.

But I learned, and am learning.

Once asked a bike cop if he was a part..... and he said something to the effect, "No there's too much cop-bashing, lawlessness there."

When I first started riding Kerry from Motohaus told me not to go on KB rides as I would crash....

It is only 3months for excess demerits. Also the demerits dont't go on your licence until you pay the fine or the courts decide to put them on.

And you don't lose your licence until you are served suspension papers in person.

Sorry guys, but work for LTNZ and deal with this stuff everyday, so can advise the details.

I've moved off the standing up for Morcs wagon.

I can completely understand your comment and your reasons, I agree with you and what you are saying, but you can't tell me you never broke the rules for your own personal reasons before :)

We all break laws, only idiots repeatedly and blatently flout them though. "hmm, I'm on a 400cc bike on my learners license that I've just got back (for the 2nd time)....perhaps I should carry a pillion, speed and pull wheelies in town just to draw a little bit more attention to myself."

It's not the silly wee pricks who give us not quite so retarded "bikers" a bad name that bugs me so much as the kiwibikers who come out with shit like "bad luck", "you've learn't your lesson" or "that sucks".

A car pulling out in front of you "sucks".
Being pulled doing 115 on a wide open deserted road is "bad luck".
Admitting being a fucktard and not doing it again is "learning your lesson".

The boy's obviously a fuckin idiot and it's a shame half the folk on this forum are too fuckin namby pamby to call a spade a spade.

Cop was obviously a noob, she took my license and was sat in the car for ages, obviously having to look up my license conditions to see what she could rape me for...

Funny how attitudes develop eh! For years I rode with Ulysses and still have my number badge on my bike and I may ride with them again when I have time. People would express surprise I would ride with such a bunch of pub-crawling drunks. However, the years I rode with Welly Ulysses we weren't like this at all so I didn't give a rat. Just because some may have had a reputation for drinking wasn't going to make me drink more nor is going on a KB ride going to make me more likely to crash like Kerry seems to have told justsomeguy.

Why the hell did he get off with riding the 400?

How do these bikes get Wof'd/Tax'd/Insured without a valid license anyway?

IMO posting a thread like this, and threatening to red rep anyone who disagrees you, is out of order. It deserved some of the "bring it on" flaming.

Personally, I think that Morcs' biggest problem is his belief that he has done nothing wrong or dangerous. At least some of the other site clowns will admit to being dickheads on the road, which puts them higher in my esteem.

Learner? funny thing is, ive probably been riding longer than a lot of over 25's on this site. Just because they can get their full in like 6 months.

BC.

Is that a tui ad or what? The last cop who took my license said that as well, that I'd only get 50 not 75 demerits, but nope i got the full 75

I have the motto:
It aint fun, unless its illegal.
I was just having too much fun thats all...
If I can make a couple of assumptions here:
1. You ride on a track (based on your profile picture)
2. You are having sex with an over 16 year old (based on your girlfriend comment and your age)
So based on your motto, you don't have fun on a track or having sex, you must be doing something wrong :p

But seriously, I am sure you know the track is where you are free to do as you want. The road is a road, not a track..... blah blah blah, it's been said a thousand times before.
In 10/20 years time you will look back and wonder what you were thinking. I do, I am sure lots of other people do as well. I can't change your ways, only you can do that.

Fair enough. Just wait your time out or at least don't draw attention to yourself if you're on the 4 hundy. I'm no "do gooder", I just don't want to see you end up skint from fines, in Gaoel, gettin your bike confiscated or injuring your pillion. In my yoof I crashed with the girlfriend on the back and I can tell you first hand it's a sobering experience as they always seem to get more injuries than the rider.

As for riding better.....nothing beats a few year's experience.

My idiot moment today was realising you can't use a normal paddoc stand on a single sided swinger.

All well and good admitting guilt etc, but indangering a pillion is what im against.
I do wheelies etc on the road, but only when I dont have a pillion. Its their life in your hands, so why take the risk. People who have ridden with me while I have a pillion will know this, and if they start doing stupid shit with a pillion on board, ill make a point of telling them to pull their head in!
How would you feel if you came off and they got really hurt?

That was what I was meaning. I only hope you really do learn from this and take a bit more responsibility when pillions are involved.

Couldn't agree more. Pillions place their life in a rider's hands and you should be on your best behaviour when carrying one. Lecture over.:spanking:

Anyway..........since the new cop shop has opened up just off Sunset Road the whole area (Glenfield, Sunnynook, the Bays etc) is infested with cops in marked and unmarked cars. They're always putting the newbies through their paces with radars and the like all over the area. It just isn't worth trying any stunts or exceeding the speed limit as you're very likely to get busted.

This is yet another tragic example of some selfish ignorant person who things they know better than anyone else. Flouting their licence restrictions (cause they're only for "loosers" aye) and end up killing an innocent bystander. You're complaining about some fines and loosing your licence, how about looking from the other side? Maybe thank yourself that you weren't the one that killed an innocent bystander. You'd be asking for good suppliers of soap on a rope if that was the case.

3 MONTHS, if it's for going over 100 points. But it will take a while for them to do their paperwork. Took them 3.5 months after my last ticket to pay me a visit. Then the sweetest old lady will turn up in a little council car and ask you for your license.

Thats sweet as... so hopefully ill have a license for summer, definately dont want to lose it soon - Im due for my full in novembers.

But was a stupid cnut this morning. Same journey as before, except 6:30am, no cars on the road, police car once again pulls behind me at the lights and pulls me over. Clocked at 78. Bugger. Cop was sweet though. I asked him what I was funding... Felt like saying that I shouldve ran, just to give him some 'better work stories'.. :D

So I have a nice pile of tickets, and demerit status is 25+35+35 = 95 + (potentially) 25 (for second offense on one ticket) and 45 (court hearing coming up)

Im not a dangerous cunt, just a stupid one... need to sharpen up a bit methinks.

Ya reckon? How many times do you wanna get nicked inside a week?! Are you saying "I need to sharpen up" meaning you need to keep more of an eye out for the police... or do you really mean you need to wise up, suck it up, and ride a 250cc within the constraints of the law? No really... which do you mean? Talk is cheap...

And by the way, I feel your pain about the length of time you've got to wait to be eligible to sit your full, if you're under 25. Believe me, I know, I bitch about it as much as anyone, it fucking blows hard. But unfortunately, it's the law, it's not made for us to like it (and Christ in His highchair knows I sure as hell don't)... but as much as it drives me nuts I've stuck to it. I'm going to be free in November too (all going well).

Now that sucks, making an appointment and the letter arriving late, You will probably find that as you were 56 k over the limit that can mean an immediate loss of license

http://www.landtransport.govt.nz/legislation/penalty.html

Speeding
Speeding fines progressively increase for speeds in excess of 10 kilometres an hour, with a maximum fine of $630 where the speed is up to 50 kilometres an hour over the limit. Speeds in excess of this limit come into the careless / dangerous / reckless categories depending on circumstances, and also incur a mandatory 28 day licence suspension.

You may be looking at a lot more yet...

Reckless or dangerous driving [sect 35]
Imprisonment for up to 3 months, or a fine not exceeding $4,500, or both, and disqualification for at least 6 months

Hopefully you have learnt, maybe you need to get in to bucket racing where you can channel the desire for speed in relative safety and slow down on the road:scooter:

Beyond that - it reminds me of a chat I was having with another KBer last weekend. My wife asked him why he's so involved and it was basically to pass on survivial skills.

She then precced to ask further, stating it's the other guy you need to worry about, to which he responded with a very eloquent description of those most likely to be hurt due to lack of self control. His word were eloquent, mine are considerably less so but they were - in essence - young dumb and full of cum.

Wow the amount of abuseing in this thread is ammusing.. here is some advice pete when you go to court talk to a lawyer (its free) and see if they can do anything for you if they can let them represent you the courts wont think you are trying to get away with anything you are intitled to a defence (this is also free) if the lawyer advise that you plead guilty, plead guilty.. I also reccomend that if you end up with a shit load of fines after this go back to court and apply to pay off all your fines with community service. you can choose where to do the community service (i reccomend old ppl home gardening or something) its nice and easy and the old ppl treat you good, dont let the probation place pick a place for you!!! This is a fantastic way to payy of fines they the ammount of hrs for the ammount of fines you have turns out to be a very good hourly wage eg: $100p/h (i shit you not)

Also if you think of driveing or rideing when disqualified (which is very naughty and highly not reccomended but if you think of it i heard this works very well) make sure ur vehicle i warrented and has rego and get a mate who has a licence and get his ok to learn his details learn his full name, date of birth and address (this is all the details you need to give the cop) you might get a fine for not producing drivers licence of $50 or something (which you will have to play ur mate but better than getting caught for disqualified driveing)

So pretty sure ill be over 100 demerits, just wondering how long the license loss is? is it 28 days or 6 months?

All up im rather pissed off, I know the law is the law blah blah but none of these incidents was dangerous at all in each circumstances...

I think you misunderstand. Mr Tom is suggesting giving the mates details. And saying "don't have licence on me" to avoid the photo giving the game away. Licence check on mate (whom the cop thinks you are) hopefully comes up clean

However, for it to work I think that (at least) the vehicle would need to e registered in said mates name. If I was a cop and stopped a vehicle purportedly being driven by Mr Smith, then discovered the vehicle was registered to Mr Brown, a disqualified driver, I would make further enquiries. Extensive ones. Possible Mr Brown, being law abiding and unable to drive himself has lent his vehicle to Mr Smith. Possibly. Or possibly not. Cops aren't stupid . Well, not all of them. Well, not all the time.

Give it a go if you feel lucky punk - but when it goes pear-shaped? - Hoooo-boy! $$$$$$$$$ flying out the window is all you'll hear.

Hasn't worked on me yet, a few have tried..

Mate of mine was a senior motorcycle cop in the NSW force. Forced retirement when he got rammed in a chase and busted up his leg pretty bad. Now he's the 'Road Captain' for H-D Australia. Looks after all the media events, leads the rides. He was pretty famous as a motorcycle racer - and as a cop. Citation winner.

Tells me over beers that he stopped this bloke on the Hume Hwy that he had never seen before.

The bloke tells him what a fantastic relationship he has with the local sarge - 'Paul Bailey is his name - legend - we're great mates, why don't you check with Paul - he'll vouch for me.....Officer?.....Officer? Excuse me what IS your name officer.'

'Paul Bailey.'

...Also if you think of driveing or rideing when disqualified (which is very naughty and highly not reccomended but if you think of it i heard this works very well) make sure ur vehicle i warrented and has rego and get a mate who has a licence and get his ok to learn his details learn his full name, date of birth and address (this is all the details you need to give the cop) you might get a fine for not producing drivers licence of $50 or something (which you will have to play ur mate but better than getting caught for disqualified driveing)

A young fellow of my aquaintance done this - using my sons details to get away with it (without my sons knowledge or agreement). :angry2: He'd managed to memorize the details off the licence, and knew the address well as he used to flat there (until I, as the landlord, kicked him out for non payment of rent and damage to the property).

This worked twice for him in fact. Unfortunately on the 3rd attempt to get away with it, the arresting officer happened to be my brother :Police: .

1. He didn't know that the person whose details he was using had an uncle who was a cop in the same town.
2. He didn't know that my son had since left that address and moved cities.
3. He didn't think that when the fines from the first 2 incidents were received by us, they would be questioned by us and an investigation would ensue.
4. He didn't think the cops would search the car
5. You'd think he'd behave when there were outstanding warrants for other unrelated offences.
6. His passenger at the time was also wanted.

Got done for all the driving offences, plus the outstanding warrants, plus the large amount of cannabis stashed in the boot of the unwarranted, unregistered car. Passenger also arrested. Both charged with giving false details. Both now in prison.

Dumb cunts.

He can fel free to give it a go, but when he gets a 750 bucka infringement for supplying false details as to own id, then I will sit on her and laugh my saggy man boobs off when he is crying about it.

Shit, this is taking a while Pete - what's the current status?
It'll be interesting seeing how it's dealt with - my bud on his 636 (name changed to protect the guilty) was busted 2 weeks ago (as you saw) on the ATNR, no dangerous driving/careless use but an immediate 28 day suspension and a future court date.
Speed was 165kmh - will he get a further loss of licence? Or not...:Police:

Gary, it will be another loss of license. It was the same as I got done for on the ATNR, except i was at 172 but got written down for 156 - same offence though, exceeding 100kph. He can expect to get a summons a month or so after he finishes the 28 daya, requesting his plead. If he pleads guilty to the charge he wont have to go to court, and he will get a later in the post shortly after the date the case is actually in court saying what the penalty was. I got a 3 month suspension and a fine of $780. As for my status, the guy from baycorp seemed to give up trying to take my license weeks ago... he hasnt even called me.

Which means the first time a cop stops you he will pluck your licence - most inconvenient in the middle of Blackhole, South Auckland late on a Saturday night.

So 2 up wheelies on a bike you're not licensed (and presumably not mature enough) to handle is taking their safety into consideration?

Dude, you missed the boat. The giving me shit in this thread was months ago.

For the record, I guarantee I am safer and more skilled than you could ever be.

And I only do 1 up wheelies now. 2 up was never intentional... just dumping the clutch a bit too aggresively off the lights.

Dude you were born in the wrong era! Bring back the good old days I say. At 15 was pulled up on an unwarranted, unregistered bike, no keys as we had hotwired it when we took it out of my Dad's garage, no licence (car or bike) and a pillion passenger. Got a $25 fine for "driving without the required class of licence" and the cops didn't even report me to my parents or the school (as it was during a school day and we were in uniform).

Take it easy out there.

god... everything is so over regulated now... your story is a bit more like it should be :)... only thing against the idea is the full-blown atomic speeds the nu generation of hotwired bikes can reach... and in some ways maybe that's no argument either...

Oh yes they can!

First line of attack - they are given the task of 'getting' you licence.

IF they can't find you you're put on the 'list' with the police.

Next time you're checked by them you will come up as: "Wanted For Licence Suspension"

Don't go past go, don't collect $200.
