I'm building up an old Kawasaki into a cafe-racer style bike for a fun event next year. Does anyone have a set of those clubman style bars - the sort that curl around the instruments from the yoke, and then drop away like modern clip-ons? I used to have a set on an RD350 back in the 70's - just don't see them anymore. Cheers, Wuzzi

Could try tracking down a set of Laverda 5piece bars or replica ones that are fully adjustable

I've bought stuff off these guys (http://speedmotoco.com) before, some bar-end mirrors. Very fast shipping and quite good prices. They've got a relatively decent range of clubman bars here: http://speedmotoco.com/shop/index.php?cPath=25_44&osCsid=631007ebd146fbc517eb9b6da8026b24 . Looks decently priced.

Thanks - I have been keeping an eye on TradeMe but have missed those. I kept searching on 'bars' and had all sorts come back ... but not those. I'm bidding! They look perfect - thanks heaps :)

No, I bloody didn't. I was leading up until the whistle and got distracted at the wrong moment. When I looked back mod.ben had out bid me and the auction was closed. Gurrr. Back to the drawing board!

Try Rob Nesbitt at Classic Cycles Upper Hutt - 04 527 9608 he deals mainly in old Brit iron and may have what you're after.
Another possibility is British Spares also in Upper Hutt, 04 939 8819

There are a set of NOS 'SS Superbars' that fit the Kawi GPz bikes on eBay right now. They are clip-ons but may fit the bill?

why get second hand, could be bent,
or copies, might be too thin in the tube wall
try for the real thing if you are wanting perfection
