Hi,

I've just setup a page for Derek McAdam.

The site is still under construction and I hope to be adding some of Derek's racing achievement soon (as soon as he gets them to me!)

Many thanks to Glenn from Speedsport for the sponsorship.

Cheers

P.S. This is the first web page i've ever set up so hopefully the site will improve witha bit of practice.

Shit hot. I'm a bit of a DM fan. He's one of the quiet journeymen in NZ racing and if you get the chance, watch him through the esses at Wanganui. I've been trying to get a photo for years.

Wish Derek all the best for the campaign
Having seen the bike up close & personal prior to the Timaru crash it was tight, though still in it's fledgling stages of development and definitely wasn't neglected, though some parts of the equation were :bash:

Yep, that's for sure. He doesn't brag much. Just turns up and does the business.

He told me that he might take the bike out to Mansfeild for round 3 of the Actrix series, just to see how she ran and ended up winning two of the races. The first time he's taken the 10 out on the track!

I'm starting to enjoy racing again and having Derek on the bike means that I don't have to worry about the maintenance and upkeep. He really takes pride in his work. I remember pulling apart a zx9 engine that he had built and it was literally clean enough inside to eat off.

We haven't done much to the bike except to replace all the broken bits and to adjust the valves and tighten up the steering head bearings. Hopefully some go fast bits will be added as the budget allows.

Go on mate, rub it in. He was the reason my bike used to be taken in to Sawyers for mechanicals:love:. Selfish bastard moved to Palmerston North without even thinking about me no doubt.

Excellent website. Enjoyed the humour. Yep Derek use to work on my BMW - not fussy like you Richard!! But to be fair going against your personal morals you did work on my bike and much appreciated it was.

Look forward to seeing him at Round 5. Do you manage his entry form by any chance???
Cheers

hi shirl,

i'm up in auckland for a couple of days. bludging off a friend's internet access.

i pretty much leave that for derek. i usually give him the money for the fees and leave it to him. (which i haven't done yet).

i think i'm working on the weekend of the race. might try and make it out on sunday.

stopped off at derek's the night before on the way up north and he's got the front end apart. that boys always working the bike. good to see.

hopefully derek will soon have his interent access sorted out and he can start putting his thoughts on the site.

regards
