Last year was a real blast as it was the first year that the trail ride has been run.
Think of it as a wood hill trail ride, but only ever been used once, so the tracks are going to be mint.
Im one of the roaming saftey marshells this year so i get to ride the track on the saturday, to make sure its all sweet, and then also ride all day on the sunday:banana: helping people out, and also get to wear a "Day Glow":2thumbsup.
All weather track with start at 9am and last loop at 2.30
Food and drinks available all day
Under 16yrs "MUST" be accompained by an adult.

You will have passed the ride if you went down from east auckland
You might what to head UP:nya:
You can see where you ride from the Bombing range if you look across the harbour to south head.

Might be quicker to take the bikes across in a boat rather than drive all that way eh?

Well that was interesting.. If anyone saw a dude in fox gears on an old kdx200 try to ride up the hill at the bottom carpark/paddock and gumby over that was me.. accelerator cable was sticking and when i tried my front brakes my back wheel took off from underneath me  also had the escudo slide down the hill into the dudes beside us trailor and brand new rmz!! missed our truck by about a foot !

So my bike cakked itself after i spent half an hour in the rain fixing my throttle cable, giving me a nice $35 spectator day, anyone else enjoy it as much as me?

I did too laps on the saturday checking the tracks out, and then also too of the big laps on sunday and too of the small laps. Oil fould my bloody pug on the way back to the car park on the road section, trying to keep slow as i was one of the roaming marshells out their.
And it was only just turned 1pm so:(
Got cover in mud trying to push out GTAe in his van.

And if you didn't read the sign at the exit
Their is another trail ride in the same area but brand new tracks on labour weekend
So thats one month away.:)

Hey Jacks I think I maybe talked to you...I was the Silver Caldina parked next to you on the left (I have a KDX and my mate was on an old DR250), I watched that Escudo slide into the guys on the RHS of you...

Great ride, very fast and not all that challenging really tho...a bit more single track would be good.
I finally got a tow out after helping the guy with the tractor tow other people out for half an hour or so!

Yeah I think I remember you, dont remember alot of the bike, there were so many kdx's out! that thing was heading right for us eh then the front slid around and went right into them, feel sorry for the guys!

Wish I couldve ridden :p
