:bye:I am just about to get back onto two wheels again after many years break. Took a bike out for a burn recently and real nerves on leaning on the corners. So I am looking for any info on a refresher course for returning bikers in the Lower Hutt area.:gob:

I did a course through road safe in Petone and they are really great. Well worth checking out. Also ditto on the rides, Wednesday nights haven't started yet but Sunday is always a good ride - 10am at Caltex Rimakata (people usually start gathering from 9.40 onwards).

Go for the Wellington RRRS course (see the sticky on all the details).

This is much better than a general refresher. Know how you feel as I didn't ride for many years and felt a bit nervy on my return - so welcome back!

Have just done a fab few trips out with a company in AUz, not much help here I know but related to this. Any ideas where I might hire a bike for a couple of weekends. Mine doesn't arrive until end of september and don't want to get sticky again!!!

Look at the bottom of the page - they run the course around the country sometimes and I am sure have done Welly a few times (although I might be wrong).
I had thought they were doing Welly regularly now, but there is no info. obvious on the site about it, so give them an e-mail to see.

Sorry I don't have any info about hiring bikes in Auckland.
Someone asked this a few months ago and got some replies, so use the search function and you may turn it up.

Nope, it has been years. The trainers are all volunteers, they'd have to come all the way down and stay over and etc etc.
The Hawkes Bay people organised a RRRS day and the trainers came down from Auckland, but those folks are super-organised and a tight group.
