Hello children,
A friend is turning 21 on Saturday. He's a fan of http://xkcd.com (a geeky comic), and I'd quite like to print a t-shirt with a good comic on it (please ignore likely intellectual property violations here ;)).
I bought the t-shirt today. Now I'm sure a few years ago an old friend of mine got a t-shirt printed with some custom text on it. He had it done in a shopping mall, one of those little `stall' type places. It was very cheap and very fast.
I've done a bit of Googling, but all I can turn up is places who want to print off 50 or so a pop for businesses and the like. Who can help me find a place to print a single t-shirt from an image, preferably not costing the earth?

I did this today... go to the Stationary Warehouse and you can buy t-shirt transfers. Stick them in your printer... design your image/text etc then hit "print'. Just iron it on... :done:
Works a treat. Did a t-shirt for a client at work today for www.loudshirtday.co.nz

Problem is, I don't own a printer. University lasers usually do the trick.
Any shop that can do it for me?

There's a shop in St Lukes mall that does it... but I can't remember their name! Helpful eh? I reckon just take the T-shirt and (Hi Res) image to the mall and see what you can find.

Dont use a laser printer... they use heat. It will activate the glue on the transfer and stick to everything inside the printer!
Oh and you need to print your image/text as a mirror image onto the transfer.

There is one at St Lukes, I cant remember what it is called... I suspect it is the same as the kiosk (KO15) at Westcity (Henderson) - Catherine St, bottom of the escalator, it is called 'LOGOLAND'
I get all my flexfit caps embroided there, not too expensive. GREAT custom gifts :D.... I have a cap that says 'LILSEL' on it hehe...
The henderson one...

Cheers LilSel, will check them out if the place I found today falls through. There's a shop, a photo/camera shop on Queen St (it's red, and the door shutter has a large yellow smiley face painted on it. Diagonally opposite ASB). They do t-shirt printing from any camera image for $30, which is a bit pricey, but the product seems of decent quality.
