Jeez there seem to be some pretty good specials on Suzukis at the moment with the Suzukifest pricing.
For example:
Gixxer 750 and thou $2k off - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/SearchResults.aspx?searchType=all&searchString=suzuki+gsxr750&x=0&y=0&searchRegion=100&type=Search

Brings the 750 close to 600 prices. Pretty sweet when I should be in the market for an upgrade by the end of the year:niceone:

Wow that black & Red GSXR 1000 is stunning!
Sometimes I would like a change and look at other bikes like KTM Dukes, but when I list the attributes of a good bike (for me), it always comes back to a GSXR.

the 750 is silly price compared to the 1000
13,995 = 600
16,995 = 750
17,995 = 1000
you are better long term spend another $1k and get the 1000,

Have a look at the price of a DL1000 complete with panniers, that's value too!

depends on your perspective cajan....and remember that s your opinion...more than half the guys in club level F1/superbike racings are not getting near the full potential of 1000cc bikes...so a 750 still definatly has a place on the road!! I still reckon a thou is OTT for the road unless your touring...but then thats my opinion :)

Was definately looking at a 600 for my upgrade (and leaning towards ZX6R) - but 17k for the 750? mmmm...
Anyway - 6R also reduced at the moment, and the Suzuki prices will no doubt mean that I get less if I decide to trade as the dealers won't be making the same profit on each sale.
But it is good to have choices!

The only problem I have with the pricing is it puts a K7 600 tantalisingly close to my upgrade budget but far enough out I can't stretch to it.
$14k is just a little too far from ~$11k (depending on trade-in/trademe) to talk a dealer down.
Still, fingers crossed it drops prices across all the 600's giving me more of the 2005 models to choose from.

Yeah i personally like the 750, i wanted the 750 over the 600 but didn't like 750 colour scheme hence i got the 600 and have not upgraded to 1k.
But for the price of it, compared to the 1000 is strange, i mean average man/girl on street even thho never need it would buy the 1k over the 750 for 1k difference.

One day I will ride the 1000 to see what it is like, but for now I love the 750, it really is a fantastic road bike.
The 750 has a better looking exhaust set up as well IMHO.

I'd agree - I was far more comfy on the thou, doing Auck - Welly trips - 1600k weekend stuff - than just going for runs. The 750 handles quicker, espec. in the tighter stuff.
