If I was wanting to muck around with a project like that, I'd be immediately buying these cheap:

The GP fairing are the race ones i think, im not sure.
You would be better off trying to the CBR250 tyga fairings to the VTR, might be a bit easier

Yeah but but the CBR is a straight four, right? Wide as a bus. The VTR is much more petite.
I reckon check out something like the VT250F (earlier version of the VTR), or another Honda VT250 thing, because many of those were faired. Plus, they were normal frames, not aluminium space-age jobs like the CBR, so you've got a bit more chance of having the right positions to tie it to.

To be honest it was something I was gonna try and do when I had my VTR coz to make it the perfect learners it just needed a full fairing, an extra gear and clip on bars.
Then I looked at the cost and thought "Fuckit, I'll just pass my full and get a Ducati Supersport instead"

The VT250Fs are fugly, but the belly pan (for the extra-clothed VT250Fs, not sure on my model designations here) wouldn't look out of place, I think. Take a look, see what you think:

actually yeah the nsr could fit nicely.
that GP fairing set is cheap but if its one with our the light you could always cut some holes and make a light fit.

the one from the aussie guy is cheap but depending on what part of aus shipping can be expensive so get a quote first. if you want one from tyga i am the NZ importer for them.

You could buy a full fairing set off of a CBR600RR (03-06 model) from the States (ebay) for around USD$1500 with light and everything, only thing the fairings are for underseat exhaust... though that would just lead me to make an exaust to fit under the tail!

you will run into alot of problems. as said before the CBR bodys are alot wider the VTR. second the seat section will have issues like what skidmark ran into fitting the RGV tail as it was to wide. and the 600 is a way bigger bike.
