Spies wrapped up the series by a single point. I think suzuki equalled honda's tally of ost spuerbike wins in the ama.

final points standings, I think Dom finished 17th overall (although this points table shows mladin winning?), He was sitting as high as about 15 I think until he had a bad patch.
Congrats Dom, you have done very well.

Taking everything into account 17th is a very respectable result.

GO DOM :woohoo:

Well done, Dom, a very good season for (probably) the only true privateer to do the whole series.
It was VERY cool to see him on the broadcast of the final round at Laguna - as Mladin and Spies were being followed round the track by the camera, I noticed Dom as they came up on him, then as they went into the left at the top of the Corkscrew, there was Dom in the middle of the track peeling in to the right, leaving just enough room for Spies to come inside Mladin and Dom, leaving Mat nowhere to go and Dom pushed outside a little, as Spies accelerated down the hill into the lead, which he maintained for the rest of the race. It was a gutsy move, but really only came off because Dom must have been aware of them and didn't do anything to upset the applecart. Mladin has been very cutting about backmarkers in the past, perhaps with good cause, but he wouldn't have had any gripe about this one.
Cheers
Barry

awsome input, Dom must surely have had eyes on him this year.
The thing with back markers in the ama, everyone from about 6th position down IS a backmarker at the end of the race!!

Dom, where are you , we need you to give us your view on your season you scruffy bastard!
